How many players use Texmod? (poll)
Prowlinger
I am curious how many of you use Texmod while you play
Guildwars?
(ie - Texmod allows altered / enhanced graphic effects such as blood FX, FX changes and GUI alterations are client based and considered non cheating)

Fitz Rinley
I do not use Texmods.
Genesis Paladin
I would use the blood mod more if I could create a one-click shortcut for it instead of having to load that file. I'm lazy.
Jetdoc
I don't, and would likely only use it to help in the Cartographer title track (when I get off my lazy butt to do it)...
I D E L E T E D I
Use tiyuris mod its nice and simple, and i have gws usually on for 8 hrs or more per day so taking an extra 2 mins to load a mod doesnt bother me ^^
pumpkin pie
I know what texmod is, and no, I do not use texmod.
Inde
I put a poll on the thread. Hopefully that's what the OP wanted or something like it. But what the... is it "I don't use a Textmod." or "I don't use Textmod." or "I don't use Textmod's." Someone needs to come up with some grammar rules for this thing. Are we talking about Textmod as a plural thing or if you use multiple ones is it called Textmod's. Kind of like, "I got the mail" you don't say "I got the mail's" even if there are multiple letters. Argh! The frustration.
Saraphim
I don't, although I may use it if I get stuck on the cartography section of EotN, but then it's hard to tell whether you have or not because the points aren't in their own track. So probably not for that either then.
super strokey
Id use it if I could figure out how to use it under vista
bsoltan
I don't use texmod. I like to play the game in it's normal state.
Tyla
i have it but dont understand how to load those maps lol so i cant choose any on the poll:P
Nightow
I used textmod but I have no clue and no time for creating my own mods. I don't mind loading up multiple mods but it seems like lately, there haven't been many coming out. Instead, I just hear about other people making their own mods for their own use. Anyways, it's a nice program.
Gonzo
I've created my own mod to make Oink pink, I've used it for mapping my last 5% in Cantha cause I just don't have the time to rehug all the walls.
HawkofStorms
I installed it last week because I was sick of all those people insulting me and calling me "lazy" on these forums for not have GMC (since I don't have photoshop and don't want to pirate a $500 program). Two days later a thread poped up on here calling people who used textmod for GMC are "cheaters." God, some people just like to insult and flame you either way I guess.
Bryant Again
Yes I use Texmod. Right now, I'm using it for the Beta UI mod, along with some other personal modifications like changing the color of weapons and dying my hair.
Lord Xeshm
I have used Texmod to gain some points in the Cartographer title, but I still can't find the last 3%
Gli
The day I feel the need to use any kind of mod, I'll go get a new game instead.
Unlucky Slayer
I pretty much only have texmod for Cartography.
Coridan
i have the cartography mod...used it once or twice but haven't messed with it since it was first released...not too worried about cartography...i have 95% on all of em the old fashioned way...good enough for me.
AscalonWarrior
I would use, but mods don't work with me. So no.
Karyuu
I use the Adrenaline one as well, whenever I remember to use Texmod and not just launch the GW client :P I like how clearer it makes the graphics.
Friday
I have only used the Cartography mod - in desperation for the last 3% of Elona, because I HATE that Remains Of Sahlajah mission so much I was trying to avoid doing it by any means possible. (didn't work tho - I still had to go there for the last 0.6% -.-)
I will use it again if I get stuck at 95%+ of Cantha and Tyria.

Effendi Westland
Used it for the last 3% of cantha, and use it whenever I am summoning spirits or healing.
Malice Black
Nope. Does not interest me in the slightest.
Solas
havent used it and prob the only time i would use it is for cart, unless anet brought an in-game way of seeing percent left in area or the lieks.
Lady Ana Stacia
I used it for the last .3% I needed in Elona, was really hoping it would help me avoid having to do Remains challenge mission but unfortunately it didn't.
Aera Lure
I know what it is, but dont use it.
No one else can see the mods you install unless they install the same, so there's little point to me to use it, although I admit some interest in making my own GUI. As for Cartography, I find it easy enough frankly to look at a 100% map, toss it in Photoshop if I want to for a comparison.

MithranArkanere
I find texmod almost useless. Using it to explore is too cheap.
Using it for skins is senseles, since no one else can see them.
So, why to use it?

I haver only been using text mod for the last 6 or 7 days
and only reason I did was for months and months have been stuck at 99.6%
Found all the really tiny spots my eyes just could not see normally
0.04% and now have Grandmaster of Tyria.

Spirit range on my radar is useful to me in pve for putting ranger spirits in places where they will be useful AND not wiped out in two seconds. The 50-80% health lines are moderately useful. I like having the Crystal Windows UI mod because I normally play in a smaller window, and that lets me see what's going on when I have a window or two open. Also, at least so far, I cba to do any Cartographer titles. The most I have is on my ele, at 75% or so I think, just from playing way too much Prophs back in the day.
pkodyssey
I like the spiritradar bubble one.

I put down that I don't use it, but I have downloaded it. I'm interested in using it for the Cartographer title, but haven't done anything with it yet.

I just use it for doing Cartographer while vanquishing areas, I dont want to return to some far place just for a lost pixel.
Gio
I love texmod and I usually don't play without it anymore. <3 ^...^

I run Texmod and GW all the time under Vista.
cosyfiep
dont use it, and cant use it.....though it would be nice for a change to get to use something to make my gw title hunting easier....but alas.

I started using Texmod just recently and really like its potential. There are some mods I wont use that take away from the immersion factor of the game, like the spirit rings (I want to judge AOE distance on my own). But I like mods that add to the immersion factor and/or reduce clutter or words on the screen. I don't like large, cartoony graphics taking up a lot of space on the minimap or such (why I like heroflag mod) and we are working on a mod to reduce the annoying size of the red map blips that cover up most of the topo of a map if you do any amount of exploring.
I also use the cartography mod sometimes, but only after I've done as much exploring on my own first and don't feel like spending tons of hours scraping edges of maps I may already have mapped out and just can't tell.
I'm 99.9% a PvE player; but if I ever get into PvP I would choose not to use Texmod at all as I would consider some of the mods borderline cheating that give you a leg up competitively over other players using the standard UI. I don't have a problem with that in a PvE setting though.
What I like most about Texmod that is different from most other game mods I've used is that it doesn't modify any of your actual game files. It loads GW in a shell so to speak and replaces textures in memory realtime as the game calls them. If you don't like a particular mod or it causes you trouble of any kind, then just quit GW and start it back up again w/o using Texmod.
One feature I would love to see added is the ability to save Profiles in Texmod that you can select and load with a few clicks. Currently when you quit Texmod (eg: reboot) you have to reselect all your mods and the GW.exe location. Just takes a sec but seems like it would be simple to let you save some of those settings between sessions.
