Fix Legendary Defender of Ascalon!

First off I'd like to say that I know this title isn't supposed to be easy, nor does it take a few hours. It could take even months. And because of the level of monsters, that's to be expected. What I'm asking here isn't to change the level of time, but more like the level of difficulty.

For instance, the max party size is Pre-Searing is 2. Two people against at least 4 level 8+ Charr at one time is hardly fair, not to mention the fact that our armor in Pre-Searing sucks (even the collector armor). And of course no one has a max/good weapon unless they have the bonus ones. My proposition? Make the max party size 4 and make one more set of Pre-Searing armor that's got more defense. Death leveling would still be necessary to get the title because eventually you will be stronger than the Charr. But until then, it's hard to struggle through low level monsters for maybe 20 experience per kill, that gets lower for each level, to get to a decent level to stand a chance against the Charr.

I just made a new mesmer in the hopes of getting this title. I had a ranger wanting it too, and got her to about level 11 before finally giving up and moving her forward into the game. The only reason I'd even make a Tyrian character now (I hate Tyria but that's another story) is for this title. And it's dumb how long it takes and how difficult it is. What does everyone else think?

Well, you said it yourself...this title is not meant to me easy, it requires some patients, you will HAVE to team up with an ally up to lvl 12 or so and even then it can be though to solo.

Bottom line is that your not just asking them to change a title, you want them to change the entire mechanics of a game just to allow a title to be easier.

It's fine as it is, hard, and time consuming, but surely doable.

And since a guildy solod the 3 charr bosses with a lvl 7 mesmer today I think the difficulty level is just about right

It took him like 50+ min, but yes.

and as a mesmer you can make optimal use of the environment, hide behind walls/gates/whatever as much as you can.

But there's so many of them. They just come at me from nowhere. It hurts. lol I wonder if he'd be willing to help me if I paid.

Dont complain about a title just because you cant spend the time to earn the title.

Other people, incuding myself, have earned this title as is, and its unfair if the time we spent putting into this title is diminshed because you want an easier title.

anet will never consider changing this title, so if u want this title expect to take alot of time to earn it and quit crying

how is this title hard? maybe a small bit early on but from14-19 isn't it mostly death leveling?

don't you duel till ye get high enough level to solo?

i'm not sayign it doesn't take time or dedication but it just takes so long, i'd be for any change for LDoA even 1xp per monster,

It's not that I can't spend the time doing it, it's that no matter what I do those stupid Charr kill me. I've gone out with several different people and get the same result each time. And sometimes the experience doesn't even pop up when a Charr does die. How did you get it?

Well I heard from 16-19 is death leveling. I've been going out with multiple people to hunt those Charr and no matter what, they ALWAYS kill me. I don't know how people do it. Any tips? Anyone care to help? I'd be very appreciative and I'd be willing to pay.

This title isnt hard - its time consuming and mainly an AFK title.
i myself havent got it,but i prefere to play than afk

AFK title? How's that? lol And I'm not worried about the time, it just takes so much longer because no matter what I do the Charr kill me. Every single time.

afk as in death leveling, i tihnk you afk for an hour or 2(may be more) until you level char,then kill charr, for like 10xp each, then repeat. i think thats roughly it, i would like tohave ago at this but no free slots waiting for sms in online shop.

Was able to solo beyond the gate with my level 9ish ranger. Was painful and long, but doable.

domination and inspiration are the key, leave illusion alone.

as for your OP I am sorry but /unsigned its been done for almost 3 years now I think you can do it if you really want to.

It is. It was mean to price those who staid in pre-Searing. So those who leave presearing MUST lose the title.

A haracter that was there and gained level 20 before the update won't get the title. A newly created character can now get the title and leave.

To be fair. It MUST vanish once the character leave.

But then you can't display it in your Hall of Monuments, or use it to get Kind of a Big Deal with other maxed titles. So what would be the point?
