Etcetera. Nifty stuff, I guess.
Ah finally, thank you so much for this! reading stuff like "I have Deep Wound on me!" made me cringe every single time.

And yet skills like Mend Ailment still have silly explanations of the skill.

Am I the only one that is slightly disturbed by the above statement??? Personally, as an Ele, I'm hearily sick of the buff/nerf cycle they go through every time someone can't cope with their skillset.

Here's a thought - don't nerf fire eles, buff some of the other attribute lines so they are more effective and get more play.

One step at a time. They'll come to that, eventually.

Tweak lightning magic spells, they are too costly.

The problem with that is if you buff an attribute so that it is on par or superior to the currently dominating attribute, you'll only be hurting the overall balance of the game, not helping it.

Say for example Fire Magic was incredibly overpowered (which it isn't really, but there are some nifty spells and builds that are pretty lolwutawesome). Now, we buff Water Magic to make people consider taking it. That doesn't fix the problem of Fire Magic raping everything in sight, and it adds the problem of Water Magic also raping everything in sight.

For PvE, that's not a problem, but for PvP, it opens up a whole new can of imbalanced Junundu.

You mean, re-do Air so it does something useful other than blind?

Also, if you were to say, bring earth's damage up to the level of fire, that would be a terrible idea since you could blow things up AND use stoneflesh/stone striker and take just about zero damage from everything.

That's too true. It's ridiculous that some armor costs up to one million, and you still find black squares sticking out of your character's arse.

Yep, air should do more than just blind by offering a "spammability" like the fire magic line (thus cheaper spells), it'll still lack the Fire AoE in the end. The only real problem could arise if everything would become spikish.

Earth should stay defensive.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I was joking!

Regarding Fire Eles, their capability as damage dealers is already questionable in PvE, even more so in PvP. Buff Air to have some more use than being a blindbot, it sucks the most of the many elemental lines at the moment. Water has utility, which is rarely needed in PvE. I always think of Moddok Crevice and freezing two runners, but that was it...

This also disturbed me, because fire eles are really shitty and don't deserve a nerf.

Lol - a tad of overexaggeration here methinks I play fire ele a lot. Ihmo, I'm powerful, but not overpowerful. Above all, in full on fire setup, I'm squishy as hell. In other setups, I can add damage mitigation etc at the cost of single or multiple enemy damage.

Atm, I think Anet has just about got the fire line right. I still think there is room to buff the other skill lines though....

(Most of) Water Magic skills have too high of a recharge to warrant anything outside of using it as simply snares instead of damage dealing. (Most of) Air magic has too high of a cost for single-target spells to warrant anything outside of spiking and blinding. Earth Magic is fine. Fire Magic is fine.

Yes, naturally. I was just using Fire and Water Magic as examples. I could have used Axe and Sword Mastery, or Illusion and Domination Magic, Democrats and Republicans, Minivans and Corvettes... You get the idea.

I like how they continually change things that are wrong in Prophecies, but have been wrong for 29+ months. Well, probably 4+ years if you think about it. Why change them now....

Why would you do such a thing? Us eles are easily dealt with, and you don't need to keep nerfing our fire spikes. Stop thinking the only way to beat us is to nerf our poor, innocent, defenseless spells.

Anyhoo, i'm rather bored by this update. Kinda happy they fixed asuran scan. I was rather unsure if my damage was being pumped or not.

Haha - I did this mission in HM the day before this update - all you needed was a good Domination build to roll right over those priests... I'm surprised they nerfed them as they weren't much of an issue at all....

Guess his armour cost more and took longer to grind, besides who really gives a toss about graphical glitches on NPC's, it's those glitched bits hanging off me im more concerned with, than some fat dude who appears very briefly compared to my character who appears all the time.

They need to get their priorities right, as I don't recall seeing many "fix Dorian" threads compared to the amount of ones relating to Player's Armour Glitches.

So there was actually one single person annoyed by a slight graphical error of an NPC that you see only in a mission or two?

Nobody said they shouldn't fix it, your clever sarcasm there really fails pretty bad.

Fixing graphical errors is more important than fixing graphical errors on a rarely seen NPC, unless you actually believe that thousands of people care about the Dorian graphic bug.

Just because something should have a higher priority doesn't mean that the lower priority things shouldn't be done.

Yet people are bitching about armor again because they fixed this minor bug. Had they not done the minor thing, people wouldn't be complaining about the major thing. Ergo, you might as well tell them that they shouldn't fix the minor stuff.

Most of the graphical errors on player chars would require a massive reconstruction of the models and the mechanics of how they are manipulated, changing one npc is a far smaller task.

Chances are changes to Dorian were actually not made on purpose but rather new models were made for the bonus pack and simply replaced the old models giving it the apperance of an update.

Good catch man... gives some weight to the argument that BMP content was part of the update

Well glitches in Armour have been a MAJOR bug for years, yet they seem more concerned with fixing minor stuff no one gives a rats ass about, especially seeing as someone without Prophecies and/or the BMP (which someone mentioned it was probably to do with) will never even see.

Glitched player Armour however is something they will see and should be higher up on the "things to be fixed scale"

Okay, did a search and couldn't find anything... but has anyone else noticed how Herta and Cynn are grunting like there's no tomorrow since the update? I feel like I've got two paragons instead of two eles in the hench lineup.

I even redid the Snowman dungeon three times cutting out the female hench one by one to find out who it was.... >.<

a ranger with Broad Head Arrow and any physical character shuts them down harder. Any caster for that fact
