With the Kurzick Warrior armor:
- Strenght: Gothic Defender.
- Tactics: Adamantine Shield.
It's better when they match with the armor.

My current favorite (str) shields for my warrior are the Darkwing Defender, Zodiac Shield, Guardian of the Hunt and the Gloom Shield. A nice small shield is the Lotus shield, but it doesn't go well with larger weapons.
I don't like neon shields (aka Tormented) much, and the much-loved Exalted Aegis bugs me because it lacks all depth (i.e., thin as paper).
For my mes & mo my new pride is the Signet Shield. Also have a Irridescent Aegis and another Gloom (tac). Also use an Aureate Aegis and a couple of larger shields like the Stone Summit and Summit Warlord shield. These larger shields look a bit oversided though.

Until Factions came out, Magmas was my favorite, tho the Eternal shield is nice, too. Then it was the Exalted Aegis. I like Merki's Gazre but the stats are only so-so for my taste.
My newest warrior has a Shield of the Lion which I really like and had put away in storage till I could get good mods for it. Finally got a -5/20 that I debated putting on but eventually did. I settled on a +45H/enchanted for the other mod and now I'm thinking about replacing the -5/20 with a -2/enchanted.
I'd love to have a Tormented but can't decide whether to actually spend the time trying to earn it or to just buy one.

Emblazoned defender looks sweet, would look especially good with the paragon Monument Armor, so I wonder.

Gloom shields, have them in different mods. Also got a destroyer shield I turned into a +45 stance, +10 fire. I use it with mantra of flame or flail for kathandrax and forgewight. Looks more appropriate than the lion shield I used to have it in. The only destroyer item I actually use.

For me it depends on the armour. For my 15K Luxon I use Strongroots. For my 15K glads I like the Shield of the Lion. For my Norn I like the Drok's shield From EoTN.
I also like the adamantium and the irridescent skins.
My least favorite is the Amethyst but that is just personal preference

I prefer Tower Shields and Defenders on my warrior when she's wearing her red vabbi armor. Tall shields while wearing 15k gladiator armor. Those two skins are by far the best-looking shields in-game, IMO. Monk uses a gold-dyed Daedal Shield.

I think the Darkwing Defender is one of the nicest looking strength req. Shields in the game. There are a bunch of other skins I like (Adamantine particularly) which only come req. tactics, which makes me a sad panda.
