under Earth Magic instead of Fire Magic?
I was nuking a bunch of trolls in The Wild and realise/notice that meteor shower has nothing to do with fire at all... its boulders dropping from the sky knocking down your opponents and killing them.... so why is it in the Fire Magic category?
just a discussion for fun.

They are meteors (fiery rocks) dropping from the sky. Here's hoping the "fiery" part gives you the answer you need.

Ever heard of a Meteor? They come from space, flaming on fire. It has plenty to do with fire and makes plenty sense.. I think you're just making tons of annoying/pointless threads now.

I know, that's what its suppose to be if its under the fire magic, but if you look at the animation, its just rocks without fire.
That aside, when you use fire magic its somehow gives me the idea that you are infact "summoning" the fire elements, however, for meteor shower, you have to summon the meteor (rocks/earth) and when its come thru the atmosphere in high speed it burns and hence you are summoning the earth elements and not the fire elements.

Chilling Winds is right where it belongs, water + air - becomes chill, think of the fan that comes with it own water thingy that gives you chill wind like an air conditioner.

How do you come up with this stuff? When I'm in a battle I'm more worried about my enemys, then whats falling on there heads.

Now that you mention Obsidian, hehehe, Obsidien is an orb thing i think probably have to do with cooled lava, its not exactly fire, see, its igneous rock, and hence its under Earth magic, and the flame is cause by the obsidien orb flying at high speed probably hahahahah.....

I actually kinda agree with the OP (which is weird, cause I never agree with pumpkin...). "Earth" when used in GW does not refer to the planet they're on, but rather the rock and dirt that makes up their planet. "Ebon" is generally interchangeable with "Earth" in GW, BTW.
That said, Earth Magic is any kind of elemental magic that deals with dirt, rock, and minerals that are associated with what can be found in and on the planet of Tyria. Meteors could be included, as they are just giant rocks, regardless of where they come from.
Still, it doesn't really matter, and it's worked so far. No real need to change it now. Of course, there was also no real need to move Bloodsong from Communing to Channeling, either... so, yeah.
