Spent 60k on the rockmoulder back when it was 20/20, sold it a day later for 70k. Then the next week it got fixed, poor guy who got it, payed 70k for a common mesmer offhand :P

25k for Book of Secrets, 20k for a NightBringer.....I don't buy expensive items because i don't see the point in buying a Weapon for the Skin.

powertraders are strange people...

if i had this amount of money i would sell it for real cash.

made about 4mil. by just playing the game so far and spent most on drunkard and sweet tooth title because i really wanted to max the maxed titles title once before it was updated last time

PS: what will the super rich players do once GW2 is out and GW is dieing? Just let the cash rot unused?

This could have been one of the most thought-out GW item. (and it probably also illustrates how stupid people can get)

From an economists standpoint, it is very easy to see how a "power trader" could make a ton of gold in a game like this. Re-selling items can yield lots of gold in an unregulated market. Example: buying a hard to find item for 150k and then selling it for 200k. Now think about doing that on a higher scale a few times a day. Easy gold if you know what you are doing.

Lol now that's just great.

Oh, yes a mini Kanaxi (only... what, 8? in existance) could easily go for 80 million.

LOL @ THAT THREAD.

Missed that. Everyone in that bid war fails at the game. Why? They need to buy something which they have no earned to try to make them look cool. The fact that that was even allowed to be sold is pathetic, all minipets and special features such as that cape trim should be account custimized so that its only what you have earned.

The most I have sold something for was probably about 150k, I keep everything thats worth anything generally so its pretty hard for me to sell high high end items, if I won mini kanaxi for example I wouldnt sell it.

Does time spent collecting collector's items count as money spent? If not, my FoW armor...took 19 months to earn the money.

You can't even see these damn skins whilst you're playing...

And who remembers what some guy in a PUG was using five minutes after the run?

If thats your view, just use tex mod and never spend a penny on high end armor and weapons.

When you take that perspective you get really amazed to hell again. And how the hell someone can get so much gold. thats just impossible I mean. The guy gotta be someone who has unlimited money in real and doesnt has to do anyting so just farms(or goes gold sellers or uses bots which ı wont wish the case to be )

That deal seemed very dodgey though as the next day zoren was selling for a b/o of about 100k+1500e+90arms, does that seem logical for someone who bought it yestersay for so much more?

By far the most expensive items I've sold are two colossal scimitars for ~300k each. I usually don't buy items over 100k. However, I have purchased multiple sets of elite armors for my characters.

Most I've sold stuff for would be a Kanaxi's sword for 100k+30e shortly after it became available and recently I sold a req 8 Salient Daggers for something like 100k+20e. Biggest purchase was 100k on an Azure Recurve immediately after NF was released. I still don't understand why people go for low req items when they'll easily have enough attributes to meet higher reqs (everyone still sees the skins and you're the only one to see the req) but I guess that's why I'm not a PvE'er!

Just did the math, if the Vizu was worth 1200e [i think it was more, just a guess]

and each [email protected]/each

each ecto=4.7k

do all the math and you get 680.15 sales@$10.00 for 100k

Which is APX. $6,800 for ONE ITEM!!!!! He probaly has 1mill USD total with the 41264892614561 armbrace stacks he still has on all of his charactors.

.

Nox how do you know he has that many? That's over 42 TRILLION armbraces. That's nuts, Anet would know wouldnt they? Not flaming you at all, honestly curious I agree the 6800 is INSANE on 1 item, but personally I thin k that whole "deal" was bs, just me. Or are you saying the 1 mil UDS thing is over the top? Sorry, no inflection in forum posts lol

Things are already blown far out of proportion on this thread. It really doesn't need more of it.

Please note I have NEVER bought or sold any gold and NEVER will I just checked out sites to find out how much they bought and sold gold for. As I just could not belive that someone would have $1 milllion worth of virtual currency.

So when I checked sites and they SOLD 100k gold for about $6 and PAID about $2 to buy it. How on earth does 100k gold = $10. So even if your maths is correct about how much gold all that stuff is which I very much doubt. Thats still NOT $6800 but $1360. Which is I agree a lot of money but nowhere near the million dollars you claimed it was.

I'm sure that IF this guy had duped that many items he would of been caught and banned along with the rest of the people who did and got banned.

Seems to me at least that NoXiFy is grossly inflateing the amounts involved due to some sort of bias of unknown orign.

my torm. shield at 100+40e
Torm longbow 100+30e is next in line.

both bought within a couple days of each other because I decided not to pursue obsidian armor on my characters anymore so I had an excess of stuff and decided to splurge.

i'll probably never have more than one armbrace at a time, so I'm not even going to bother talking smack to the ebayers and gold buyers in this game.

I sold a mini Attaxe day-of for about 100k+36 etcos, and a Req 13 Dead Sword for 100k+5 once.

Elsewise, I sold the magazine minis as soon as they were available for ~60k ish. Now they are ~15k or less, so I did well there.

That Eternal Sword price is zany. A Vizu, plus a crapload of everything else. Just blows my mind.
