If someone indeed paid that much for this sword, it would definitely qualify for one the Most Overpaid GW Items ever

You got to give Anet credits for coming out with ideas like the inscription slot and zaishen chests. As for the highest priced item, this price is on par with panda at the time of that post. Kanaxai at that time would definitely fetch a higher price.

Frankly, it is ridiculous to price rare items after the duping exploit. I paid for a panda for about 600 ectos long time ago, and that was much lower than truly rare items such as a req8 15^50 crystalline sword:

So back to OP's topic, I guess 1750 ectos back in those days are as high a price as any GW item could fetch.

Since that sale of the Eternal was MOST LIKELY fake (either the guy knew the seller and was fake bidding, or he duped stuff), the 80 mill isn't a real number.

As for minipets, there are ~26 Kanaxai's and ~50 Pandas. Pandas have been sold for well over 5000 ecto, so over 30 million. As for Kanaxai's, since they're SO RARE, the people who own them don't intend on selling them. So if you even find one for sale (which is almost impossible) it would be hellishly expensive. I know a couple guys who have been offered over 10000 ecto (legit) for their Kanaxai's, so in an auction it would probably go higher.

As for MY highest price paid, or highest price thing I sold, probably Torment Shields. That or my Mursaat Hammer. So around 100k+60-80 ecto.

Oh and I sold a HoD sword for 100k+75 ecto back when they were worth good money...

They got scammed. I'd be willing to pay over 2000 USD for one, just because I could sell it in game, and sell the gold for much more. Which is EXACTLY what the person would have done. Kanaxai would have sold for 50ish mill, maybe more, which is over 5000 USD. Spending 900 to get 5000, is a pretty nice deal.

Well, apparently he knew the people, so knew they they had the money or something. He also got offered a LOT of duped armbraces for it :P But yeah, he said he knew that the guy had that much money.

Anyways my biggest sale was 100k 65 ectos for a ele sword back when hm came out and my biggest purchase was 100k +335 ectos for my q9 crystalline back in feb.....DAMN U ZAISHEN CHEST!

First offer I got on my Kanaxai was 700e. The guy didnt understand the word no and earned a spot on my ignore list.
Second offer was 100k + 1500e + 250 armbraces.
Third offer was 100k + 2 pandas + 1 visu + ectos.

There have been (according to wiki) 296 pandas given out so far and 27 Kanaxais (one more in a couple days). Who knows how many of each are on inactive accounts or were locked by bans. It's kind of weird thinking this little bunch of pixels could possibly pay the mortgage for half a year.

Personally the most I have sold anything for was a req 9 Ele sword for 100k+90e. No plans to sell the Kanaxai because I earned that ugly little thing and I am not risking my account accepting armbraces. Besides, what does anyone need that many for? My heros dont need weapons that shiney.

I farmed and farmed and solo trapped and farmed and borrowed 700K from my friend and bought ectos til I was going blind and everything looked pink and I farmed some more and got scammed once I was so tired buying ectos and farmed and solo trapped and eventually.......... got 850 ectos together to buy my bow, 1 of the very few truly unique things in this game. Nobody else has my bow and I am happy

Most I've ever spent would be my FOW armor, which was at the time when ecto were in the 12-16K range.

Most I've spent on a weapon would be 100K + 60ectos...that item is now worth about 10k.......

Most I've ever sold an item for was 100K + 10ectos(if I recall correctly) For a R8 Oni blade with +5energy.

Most amount Ive ever payed for anything mustve been my FoW armor.

Highest price for a weapon Ive sold was Razorstone axe for 100kish back in the day they were still worth alot (over 2 years ago).

Other than that, I really havent been doing much high-end shopping. From what ive seen id say mini Kanaxai or Vizu would take the win here atm, since Eternal Blades are dropping in price fast.

But when someone gets that "zaishen chest special drop" Id guess it will be worth alot.

Highiest paid price for me would be buying a undedicated mini Naga Raincaller <before there were +500 of them> I paid about 100e worth of stuff (xxx plat+15 gemsets+lots of destroyer cores...) and I must say Im happy about it - it completely changed the way I look at money in GW...

People don't really sell them anymore. I saw this on a thread that Herb started looking for the last few. It has always amazed me that things like minis, which there are many of, and more can be (and have been) added, reach such crazy prices, but something that is really unique never did.

Anyway I am happy and owe many thanks to the seller, who was very patient while I raised the funds, with ectos crashing in the middle of it. Seeing as he was selling the only shortbow of this type in the whole game he could have asked for just about anything, but was very reasonable and a thoroughly nice guy.

Biggest sale was 100k+10e for a Caster Celestial axe +5e.

biggest purchase.... ele FoW armor. bought all ecto for 4.6k (105), all shards for 1.7 (105) got cloth from a guildie, and bought deldrimor steel at trader (35)

final cost: aprox 650-700k.

Biggest sale was a storm bow req 9 15^50 for 100k +10e I think. Had a few 100k sales, not many over.

Biggest purchase was fow when ectos were 8-10k and shards 3.5k private. Can't remember final cost with all mats, was well over a mil though.

Most of my "shiny" weapons I got myself over the years so no big spending there. Biggest weapon purchase was a zodiac bow 60kish when I dispared ever getting one as a drop. Haven't found any others I can't get myself I want that badly.

Zodiac sword, axe,hammer,bow shield all req9 perfect 220 ectos (1 buyer) it paid for 2 sets of fow rit armor.

crystalline req10 14x50 paid 250k in (us L.A.) sold in int dist. 950k along time ago.

those be the biggest that crytalline deal set the guild up for a year. good times but long gone.....
