Since the new favor system, every "announced" title contributes 3 minutes to the favor of the gods. (over all, it doesn't matter if it's achieved during the favor or not).

It's interesting to me, considering how much hatred there is directed at titles on a place like Guru, that there are so many people title hunting in game. It's pretty clear that a lot of folks enjoy the title system, or are at least driven to play by it, even if few of them post here.
