check the bolded/lined/whatever line, do you think Anet would have said that that way? it was a joke post, no updates in the GW main page, and remember, that last year the wintersday was extended BECAUSE AN EARTHQUAKE IN TAIWAN (or somewhere) MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO THEM TO PLAY THE GAME, THE GRENTH WINNING WAS JUST SOMETHING TO PUT IT AS LORE... or something like that. (and this was said on some earlier posts)

Ya they did, I put an Edit on the my previous post that stated that. Also explained a little more. The offical announcment should be soon I would think.

Edit: It does say if Grenth wins Wintersday will be extended. I do believe the first year Dwayna technically won so it was not legnthed. So if Grenth does win technically Wintersday should be extended.

The Wintersday 2005 Update added a lot of content celebrating the holidays in Tyrian style. The celebration is centered around Wintersday, the Tyrian equivalent of New Year's and groundhog day. On this day a struggle between Dwayna and Grenth takes place to determine whether the day will be filled with joy and gift-exchange, or gloom and somber remembrance. According to legend, if Dwayna won, spring would come early, and if Grenth won, winter would last longer than usual.

So ya if Grenth wins it should be extended. Though it looks like Dwayna won that year and not Grenth so idk.

No, it really won't. It's already the rarest minipet. IF and only IF they extend the event, it will still be one of the rarest 5, as the droprates are so low. If they don't, then it'll be worth thousands of ecto.

Worthless? It won't be worthless, I have seen people still overpaying for Bone Dragons and such. And yes it still be one of the rarer ones.

Ya looks like it's all up to what the Wintersday people decide... hopefully they extend it.

Hey genius, if you've ever done the quest (if you get from RW in Kamadan) it takes you right back to Kamadan after you do the quest and get the chest stuff....the Grentches drop CC shards so don't be so closed minded.
