seems obvious to me. It's kind of a waste for anet to spend the time designing functionally worthless armor pieces

for virtually everyone, it's stand in the circle for the event, get hat, run to hat saver, delete hat, never see again

The cost is nothing. Its so easy to make money in this game. So yes everyone would be running around wearing them and make them just annoying.
AND as you always point out in every suggestion made by anyone. This is just not needed. Kinda hipocritical there /notsigning every suggestion ever made because its not needed yet you suggest something that is really not needed.

If want to wear the hat then wear it. They are party time items... hell would you go outside with a halloween mask on all the time irl? Erm nope.

Have zero armor if want to wear it. Punishment enough I say.

Personally I don't agree with the cost of 5k, if you want to give your had armor you should pay for it. It must be an exclusive item, and not a cheap way of getting a head piece.

And I like bumping old threads, which aren't executed jet.

I still hope for this, but don't expect it. The hats are a very nice design (which you like is opinion, but all are liked by someone) but they serve no purpose. People wear them rarely, and when they do, it is for a short time. The only purpose they can serve is for the 600 builds that want low armor. If Anet paid someone to design these things, I'd think they could make it possible for those designs to see some use. I know I would use a couple of them for armor, but only a couple. I love the Dragon Mask for my Necro, and I love the Wreath Crown for my Ranger. I expect some people will be using a TON of them all the time, but I expect the majority of the people only like a few and would not put money into them unless they wanted them.

No expectations, but I do still hope.

Depending on armor, some work better than others.

Flacial gloves match the Icy crown.
Primeval warrior goes well with Grasping mask.
All bandage-wrapped ancient armors could use the mummy mask.
The pumpkin mask+warrior kurzick= dulahad win XD.

Etc...

Because Halloween and Wintersday aren't too far off, and there was hints that new stuff would be added for the events.... I'll bump this and hope the Live Team gets this added in

The poor festival hats are ever used and most of them look better then most headpieces(*points at dread mask*). Id love to be able to pvp while wearing a sexy wreath crown or something.

/signed, there is no reason why they shouldnt be armored and inscribable.
would also like to see all festival hats be sold at a steep price if you dont have them.
