My first foe was a Skale, which dropped a skale fin. Wow, I can't believe I remembered that. That was four campaigns ago...

All you people who got Skale Fins are lucky! I spent like an hour farming skale on my first character in order to get the fins I need to get a belt pouch.
My first drop was an ele focus. Not sure what type, I think it was a Flame Artifact, but idk for sure. It was dropped by a skale though.

I don't remember. I'm sure it was a skale fin or one of the generic weapons dropped by the little skale outside Ascalon City in presearing.

I don't remember. It was probably something useless dropped by the Tengu in Kryta since when I started playing this game there was no Ascalon and you started in Lion's Arch.
But if you only want answers for after release, then there's a high chance it was again something usless but this time dropped by the skale in Pre-Searing since that was the first group of enemies I killed.

Yeah, I was going off release, but you are right. Level 15 necro equipping a vampiric weapon and being really confused as to why my health was going down.
