I posted it so it's simpler for everyone to see, Aerian.

Wouldn't you get the same end-product with this method? I think that just now hit me, actually.

Because it works, and it's what GW1 fans have grown used too, maybe even content with? Why change something that works. Yeah we know there may be levels, as mentioned about a year back. (not heard much since then, other than a few statements that "Much has changed since those early interviews".) but they (levels) will likely mean more than just numbers, maybe even provide itemization without numbers/stats. Titles and Ranks will be the GW2 level, especially having said GWEN would give us a glimps of GW2.

Can we just put a sticky up with the title, "If you have a question about GW2, WE DON'T KNOW!" There don't even have to be any posts in it, any explanation at all, just a simple "we don't have any frickin idea, stop asking" would be nice.

What I meant was in terms of how you specifically stated being able to fill a different role due to more attribute points.

Oh, sorry. Rather than limiting a character to a single class/profession, with multiple secondaries, requiring players to re-roll multiple characters for each class/profession, GW2 info has suggested a more focused development of one primary character. One way this could be done is to provide single character development by allowing Multiple Primary Professions. You'll gain attribute points via experience/levels and your character uses these points to buy professional/class advancement. Say each class has 200 attribute point cap; you can conceivably gain access to all professions (not sure how this would work) and spend those points among the different professions as you see fit -- Non refundable. Unlimited level cap anyone? As they add new professions? Of course like GW1 you could only run with One primary and One secondary. But you could switch builds at certain intervals, or in towns, or shrines etc.. . No class armor required.

This is just one way it Could be done. I first heard of the idea when some stranger appeared on the forums, either Guru or GWO and stated a friend of a friend said he knows someone at Arena Net and. . . great way for a Dev to field a concept within a public forum, intentionally leak info to see how it flies. See: Clinton administration for lesson in this concept. Anyway that wierd but strangely sensible solution to character development kind of makes sense in the GW styled game.

Also note comment by J. Strain, You will be able to enter the Mists with the skills you have. He did not say gear or stats, just Skills. I'm guessing that itemization will be uniquely different from what we've come to expect from the current crop of MMOs.

That would negate about half the threads that pop up it seems like (not saying it would be a bad thing) but you need to add one thing first, "What we think we know can, and probably will, change."
