Pain Inverter isn't braindead. It makes the over-damage of bosses in Hard Mode *coughRemnantofAntiquities* manageable without having to resort to crazy things like Obsidian Flesh tanking and Spell Breaker. I like not having to pigeon-hole my team build into the "perfect triad" all the time, and a good number of the PvE skills let us do that. Honestly, an assassin wouldn't live in Hard Mode were it not for Critical Agility.
