So who isnt buying Guild Wars 2 now?
Woop Shotty
I'm very interested in GW2. I'll follow it closely and talk about it often, I'm sure. I will tell you that I will probably struggle with my choice of whether or not to buy it. There is no yes or no, but for the same reason an alcoholic with any concern about their future might refuse a lifetime supply of boozee, I will have to think about it.
Engage
I have almost no doubt in my mind about whether or not I will purchase the sequel to GW. Anet has kept me engrossed so far and my mind only ponders what will come next. The thought of playing as a Charr is enough is make me run around town with nothing on.
Uber Mass
2 nice copies for me and my girlfriend... and yes my most likely my whole guild is gonna get together in gw2.....
i cant wait =D

I intend on pre-ordering the CE edition of GW-2.
btw, if anyone is quitting GW-1: Can I have you stuff?

If I'm still playing MMO's then, and I get around to upgrading my system to handle the specs; then yeah I will be getting it for sure. I am a big fan of Anets ethos and if its half as good as I think its going to be ~ with no online fees ~ then I have no idea why it wouldnt be worth a go.

I still don't think I'll get it. But I did promise myself I'd at least give it a good look once it comes out. Though I want to see certain things, auction house *cough* *cough*

So yeah, if GW2 looks appealing, it'll be mine.
I know my post is going to get deleted for this, but an Epic failure of a thread like this needs this.

I believe it's going to be grandiose. They'll provide top-notch technology at a reasonable price and hopefully learn from the mistakes of GW1.
What's the point of this thread apart from attempting to ragequit en masse? (and it's apparently failing)

Say, maybe the five or six of us that get GW2 can, er, form a guild or something?
Heck, yes, I'm buying it.
Even if GW2 is half as good as GW1, it'll still be twice as good as most everything else out there, imo.
And, frankly, I think it is going to be far better than GW1. I think it is going to be just great.

The more I read this thread, the more I 'LOL'. Oh noes, they banned cheaters! They should allow cheaters, clearly that is good for the game. CLEARLY.

I think this is rather immature. Other people are getting "your" BMP now, so you're throwing a tantrum, about how you're not buying any more of their games? It's all been said before, and these arguments are getting rather tiring, but if you can't see the difference between collectors edition content/pre-order items such as the divine auras and these bonus missions, then that's really only your own fault.
It was pretty obvious from the start that these missions were going to become available by some alternative means, and those of you who believed they wouldn't were frankly kidding yourselves. But does that mean they're now going to give everyone else divine auras? No. Because it has absolutely no impact on the game, besides showing that they bought the CE. They haven't giving them out before now, and they certainly aren't going to change that now. Where as these bonus missions added, at least some new content to the game, a lot of new weapons that everyone would like access to, all of which are in the main cities. Do you really think nobody else should be able to gain access to this kind of content, ever, because you took part in a promotion a few months ago?
I'm still going to enjoy Guild Wars 2. And I'll enjoy my exclusive content that comes without, safe in my knowledge that it won't be available elsewhere. If you want to miss out on all that, then it's only your loss. I assure you that the fact you are leaving isn't going to bother anyone, Anet least of all.

How can anyone answer this question, when we know exactly as much as we did when it was first announced months ago:
NOTHING!
If you people keep spending this much effort thinking about GW2, your heads will explode before it's released.
I've said this many times before, but I always enjoy restating it... Here's something you can do to keep busy while waiting on GW2:
Go out, find a person of the opposite sex, date, have fun, get engaged, get married, have more fun, and make a baby human being.
Alternately, finish your degree.
Yes, if you're lucky, you'll have plenty of time for that and more, before GW2 hits the shelves.
Have fun!

I will keep this thread for future reference when I see those who signed it busy bitching on GW2 Forums. :>

I will properly buy GW2, but I won't be tricked by the "Free Bonus" promotions for the loyal customers again.

What an awesome question to ask 1-2 years before it's release
If I like the info they'll be giving out about it I will most certainly buy GW2.
So ye, /notsigned.

GW2 would need to fall massively below my expectations (yes, I have been reading the news) for me not to buy it.
garethporlest18
I will probably buy it. Depends really though. But you can bet yer ass I'll be there battling against the haters. Then when I get bored, battling against the fanbois.

I'll be buying it, probably pre-order the CE. If it's crap I'll move on to something else, but I highly doubt it will be. Whatever faults people may find in the game I'm still happily playing after 23 months and don't intend to stop anytime soon.
Btw, I also play WoW. Not all WoW players on here come here solely to bitch and flame, the games aren't mutually exclusive.
Oukanna
I cant tell if it will be good or not right now, depending on how trailors and pics look, or even if i get into the Beta testing in the future, will make me want to buy it or not.
For now il probably get it, though i hope it wont be a WoW copy and that they look after us better there, and dont move on to a gw3 half way through lol

I've loved GW, but after two plus years, I'm really starting to get bored. For instance, even though I may have been one of the few that actually enjoyed EotN, even with all its flaws, I only played through it once. All the other campaigns I've played though with at least 2 or 3 other chars. Finally, I have no interest in grinding for titles. I just kind of feel "done."

The decision to buy or not to buy gw2, is still very far away, and that decision will depend on what i see(artwork, interviews, trailers, previews) and not on some decision(a good one btw) in gw1 that the thread starter obviously is using.
quickmonty
Said it before. I'm waiting to see what it is like. I would like to do beta if possible. If not, I will wait for the reviews (and maybe a price drop) before I buy it.

For me...i will be getting it after a few weeks of release to see how good it actually is.

Basically this is just a thread started up to QQ about the BMP being released seperately, and so the OP threw his toys out the pram and declared he is not buying GW2. Nobody really cares, we don't need a whole anti-GW2 thread.
As for me, i'm unsure if i'll buy it. It's 2 years away ffs.

Echoing previous sentiments, it's too soon to tell. You can be sure I'll be looking for any information they release on it, though--it's about time they really start talking about it, giving us more information than what we heard...what, eight months ago, now?
