I still love GW despite the numerous cockups that anet make, this latest one however doesnt affect gameplay in the slightest which is the main reason i believe most people play a game.
The only things that would put me off GW2 is if it was either rubbish, or turned into a free to play "basic" package, pay £xx to get the "elite" package etc etc like Fury or Runescape (not sure if this is how runescape works, never played it).

I base all my purchasing decisions entirely on speculation regarding things that don't exist yet, so /signed
It kind of screwed me when the housing plans I signed for turned out to only have three walls and a thatched roof, and the Pinto I bought as a prototype of the "car of the future" was sort of a burn, but I like to take a more long-term approach to things like this, so I think it will really work out in the end.
I don't know which is more childish. The OP or people who insist on posting "QQ" all the time like it was ever clever...

Stupidest thread ever. The beta hasn't even come yet so there's no way you can tell it'll be bad.

i might buy it, but only if we get b day gifts every year. if not then no. this is because i have about another 5 years of gw1 to play to finish all chars and collect everything.
there is also a very good chance that i will be completely sick of gw by then and want to play something that takes less work for the reward. gw gets annoying with its time>skill.
if gw2 has bday gifts yearly then i will buyand farm time. if it doesnt i will stick with gw1 til i'm sick of it then move on.

Trying to take the implied silliness out of "who's planning on buying GW2 now" (since it obviously refers to the recent bans and the OPs negative look on all that), I'll simply give my objective opinion:
I dont know if I'll have time for a game such as this two years from now. If I do, I'll have to have replaced my current Mac G5 with a new Intel-based desktop, so I can run Boot Camp and get at a Microsoft OS that way. I'm done with PCs and dont expect Anet to release GW2 Mac-compatible.
I'll then have to know more about how the game works, and frankly, we dont know anything yet. I loved GW, but I'm tired of low level caps and skins being all I can do to develop characters. Bored to hell with that. Yes, GW did a lot of great things, had great gameplay, had a great concept with the low level cap and tie-in with PvP. No reason per se for them to change anything, but I'll just have to see if by then I want to play in that sort of environment again. It kept me happy for a couple years and an embarrassing amount of hours, but I suspect if I return to that sort of investment of time, I'll not want the GW sort of system. We'll see though.

At this point my husband and I will definitely be buying it, just not sure where our life will be in 2 yrs so that will decide how much time we actually get to play it.

omfg i hate emos like you who just keep complaining, your not getting it thats nice keep it to yourself

Unless GW2 gets above a 9.0 in reviews (i.e. if it's actually good), I won't get it.
There's been no information about GW2; how the heck can this thread exist?

I need to see more screenshots, previews, and videos before I make my discision. If it looks bloody awesome, i'll pick it up. If it doesn't look good, I won't bother.

Great to hear though that GW runs great on your Mac. Boot Camp I presume? I assume I'll have gotten a new desktop by the time GW2 comes out, so I'll have that option if I want. I'll be first getting a new Mac Book Pro, but I'm not going to try and game on a laptop.

I will definitely give GW2 a buy. If all the banned crybabies(cheaters) are gone, all the better.

This thread implies that something has changed, that some sort of news has been released, or event has event that changes something about Guild Wars 2. And it seems that there isn't.
Congratulations for making a thread that isn't needed and only really provides another reason for people to bash Anet.

This thread is pointless with so little information about GW2 available.
