All it is is a spamfest of /fame. Even in presearing, people show off their shitty deers/tigers/whatever else there is. I'm surprised they haven't introduced some kickass thing like Chuck Norris yet.

Unlucky. No benefit + AFK title = FAIL.

A title is what it means to you. If you acquired a title how Anet intended, then you deserve the recognition. Otherwise the titles should automatically be converted to your Grinder Title.

The PvP titles let you hold more faction at once, at least :P

i think the ones like cartographer are the most useful in the way that it encourages you to see teh entire game, there some cool stuff out there.

So let me get this straight. After reading no more than....lets say 12 threads on this forum the general consensus seems to be:

Titles are worthless.
Getting Gold is worthless.
Farming is worthless.
Obtaining rare items/weapons/skins/armor is worthless.
Random Arena is worthless.
AB is worthless.
PvE in general is worthless.
Rangers are worthless.
Mesmers are worthless.
Warrior/Monks are worthless.
PvE skills are worthless.
Normal skills used used in PvP builds are worthless.
All other skills beforehand nerfed are worthless.


What exactly do most of you do in this game anyways?

We wait for the next update to add three thousand bugs, a wave of bans then a WHOLE LOAD OF N3RFS.

This title shows absolute dedication and persistence to the game more than any other title. It takes a lot of time, energy and sacrifice to achieve. Nor is it a title that you can ebay or cheat with Texmod.

Probably Sweet Tooth/Drunkard as all they do is reflect how much money you have. In terms of skill, I'd say the AB titles reflect the least, followed maybe by the skill hunter titles (though some elites are pretty difficult to cap), assuming they haven't been obtained via tomes. I'd say the Survivor title is up there too (or down there).

EDIT: How could I forget SS/LB. Total jokes of titles.

Um, no. The hero title shows experience in communication, willingness to improve (in most cases anyway), knowledge of game mechanics and so on. While R9+ players may not necessarily be good (I know personally I got lots of fame with old school spiritspam which is definitely not reflective of how good you are as a player), you can't say that they're bad just by looking at their tiger.
