Party sharing gold

Okay so we all know that when someone in the party picks up gold coins, it shares the cash among the people. But why is it necessary for this to occur when you're in a hero/henchman only party? Or even if when you're with one other person and the rest of the party is heroes? It's not like they're going to spend it or do anything with it. Gold should only be given to real players, and if they're all in the same party it could be shared, but if it's a hero/henchie only one, then no it shouldn't be.

Because it's kind of a way to tax players, because Anet can't come up with a decent gold sink, it's one of the ways they use to regulate the economy. When you have 7 henchmen in your party, you get the same amount of gold if you had 7 people in your party.

If things were the way you suggested, there would be no point in grouping with other people, as the entire game can be easily beaten with Heroes/Henchies, and if you get the same amount of gold as if you had just yourself farming.... I don't see a point to using other people

Yet another one of your suggestions that is made just to make the game easier

Because then all human parties will be less in demand. I'm all for being able to h/h, but encouraging h/h teams like this isn't needed. Giving h/h parties any advantage over human parties is just wrong.

AI heroes/henchmen need gold too!

Also, that's the price you pay for the convenience of h/h teams...

Sigh I actually feel bad for saying it but the guys right. Sorry Miss Tender Wolf but PvE, Gold Accumulation etc is too easy if anything. If however you need any advice on why you might find these area's too hard and constructive criticism then feel free to PM me sometime.

Let's make it so that all of the drops in a one human + 7 AI team go to the player too.

When you realize what's broken about that, you'll realize why I'm /notsigned on this.

And the voice of another 1337357 flamer heard. That's one of the reasons why GW is sliding downhill, the wonderfully supportive community.

The heroes and henchmen take their cut for a reason. That is partly why people do solo farming.

This is just a simpler solution instead of them writing code that detected how many human players were around, and dropping the right amount of gold for that number.

I just cannot see any reason why we need to pick up our gold. It should automatically appear in our wallets.

Some people prefer hero/henchmen parties. I've had more luck with them than real people because real people can be so stupid and won't listen to directions. And some people can't solo farm...

Cute answer: Because Stephan needs pub money to keep his beer belly up to spec.

Real answer: Because then you'd be giving H/H players a monetary advantage over players that team up.

As much as I understand that people like to make more money, I don't see why someone who plays with heroes should get more benefit than someone who plays with real people. I believe that a full human party should get larger gold drops than someone with all hench/heroes since the game is a lot harder when playing in a full human party (for the reasons stated in your post). Unfortunately it's perfectly even and you gain no benefit from partying with humans or heroes (despite many groundless claims that gold drops are less frequent in H/H parties).

I would agree so the gold you see is the gold you get, instead of it getting shared, if the drops where decreased:
.Typical 150gold drop -> 50 gold drop.
Party of 8: They get 50 gold each. 400 gold total
Party of 1 (solo or +AI): She gets 50 gold. 50 gold total.

I would agree with that, to praise teams.

But NOT to take the AI out of the share.
