Blue req8 inscribable max shields drop quite often for me in Nightfall areas.

i've got a GOLD req 8 perfect giant Conch of fortitude in EoTN and a golden phoenix blade of fortitude req 8.
They still drop.

Bows and spears also have places in builds that don't care much about the weapon attribute so long as they get the full base damage from their auto attacks.
You also might want a low req caster item to get HCT/HSR for a critical spell from an off attribute.
As for the rest, there's really no reason to favor any req below 12, since you'll always meet it anyway.

A req7 strength embossed aegis inscribeable, but was +15al, not 16. Still, gold, etc. Merched not really thinking about it. Pity.

Why low req are wanted? I have a monk that I made a Mo/W and use a 6 req tactics shield with 14AC. It works perfectly for me and gives me 14AC where I would have had to spend it in runes just to get 10AC. Plus I can put any type of mod in that shield like +10 vs slashing and +30hp of course and I would have had to waste many many more attribute points trying to work a req 9 tactics shield onto my monk. With but 1 point out of Divine Healing attribute I am able to have +14Ac all over and an additional +10AC vs slashing and able to put either more hit points or more energy or even more armor class using my rune slots. Since I lost some energy from using a shield vs a focus item (12 points) I use my runes for increased energy and get 7 of the 12 points back if I want them. I'm pretty happy with a 40 energy bank though on my monk. For me that was a find of a lifetime in this game with 14AC for only a 6 req in tactics. Recently I used this shield on a dervisher/warrior with sword and going heavily in wind and earth prayers and made her quite formidable with this setup.

1 Req 8 Chaos Axe 15% in stance.
1 Stormbow req 8 15^50.
That's all I can remember although I"m pretty sure I had some crap req 8 golds before Factions came out.
Got a few req 7 whites too.

When Nightfall was released I got a white max Sun & Moon shield of fortitude req8 strength....that I still have cause the skin is rare & beautiful.

I personally haven't seen any new ones in a while. Herb had a pretty extensive list of known req7 items, but he quite playing I think.
That req7 stave was an accursed staff, max/gold and old school 19/19 I believe.

I have been playing for 20 months and never got a req7 or 8 weapon.. And ive vanquished all and done all missions/dungeons in HM...

Lol Thierry2 just do the newbie area outside of Kamadan or the First City in hard mode. You'll get at least 8 req maxed gear there. I got a 8 req max shield just yesterday again in the one just outside Kamadan. I'm actually farming for more 15ac and 14ac with 7 and 6 req shields in them as that's where I got my first one.
As far as req 7 maxed gear I would think those would remain VERY rare and so, there shouldn't be a lot of people posting they've gotten one recently. Probably as rare as the christmas polar bear thingy. You may play a GW lifetime and never see a req 7 though. Some are lucky and some are not.

In NM, R7's drop mostly from low leveled monsters. This explains why most R7's are Crenellated Swords (Or atleast a lot).
Req8's HARDLY Ever drop in HM, its as chancy as a R7 in NM. Same thing though, the lower the level of the monster, the more chance there is of having a req less than par (Req8 for Inscribables and R7 for Non-inscribables)

There is no such thing as a 15.6armor shield, however maybe there would be if the system didnt round it to 16armor, so my theory is that for this example, a 15.6armor shield can come as R8 (talking about inscribables) which makes sense since...

Sorry have to disagree that purples never have 15^50 because I just salvaged one out of a purple sword I got in that newbie area I play in. Purple just means "everything" won't be maxed ever. I've gotten several maxed mods out of purple equipment though. Even some things better than gold like a Healing Ankh that is req 8 healing and perfect +12 energy and not gold but purple. Things have changed in that department as well as what is on a purple item. I can get as good of mods out of purple items as I can gold ones now.

Well..i never got a max damage weapon that was lower than 9...found a req 8 14-20 fellblade in hm today, was pissed it wasn't maxed lol.

Play in the newbie areas Death By Ketchup in HARD MODE. You'll get one I betcha. Kamadan first three or four newbie areas are great for req 8 7 and 6 drops, though not always maxed stats on everything. I find to get the low requirement high stats items you need to play in the newbie zones of the chapters in HARD MODE. GWEN don't have a newbie zone so's I don't know where the good stuff is there. But, Nightfall is the only one where you can get blue, purple and gold inscribeable gear and that's why I farm it to death in the newbie areas so much. Also, I nearly always get 1 or two gold drops every run in them. I don't buy lockpicks though to open chests I wait until they drop and give them to my treasure hunter wisdom character to build up her titles in those.

Have never had a req 7 or 8 drop for me in over 2 years worth of playing. But I was given a req 7 max gold Skeleton shield (req 7 tactics, -2 while in stance, +43 while enchanted) by a very old friend who was and Ele and I don't think he really knew what he had Has been my shield of choice since then.

when r7 did exist [that was b4 nightfall], they could only exist if the skin of the weapon could be max dmg and nonmax dmg at the same time [2 different weapons, same skin found from same area]. in this case, such things like r7 [gold crystalines] never existed (or the chance was like 1/1000000000), but r7 crystalines that were purple [noninscribed] were possible (from the SF area). btw i dindt read the entire post so i dont know if anyone posted this idea

Don't know if, when you say "core", you are distinguising between core skins and non-core skins, or if you're just pointing out that in genneral those items are core items, but... for your viewing pleasure... not core skins but offhands non-the-less.
And unless I am mistaken, which is entirely possible, (or it was a fake) I could swear I recall seeing a max r7 bow about a year or so ago in Ventari's.

Earth isn't worth very much. Now FIRE on the other hand would be worth a pretty penny. Earth elementalists are few and far between and I think it is because there just aren't enough good DD spells in the earth line. Earth is more armorish to me and I only use it occassionally for pvp play in FA or AB.

Jk but thanks never saw req7 foci before, although i would imagine foci and shields are easiest to get a req lower than par (since max for focus is 12 and for shield is 16, as compared to other stuff)

Weirdly, last night I got 2 req 8 energy storage prisms. One just white, the other blue with a slot. Very odd, they dropped from the same group lol. Doubt they're worth anything really, but thought it was strange.
