Wow, I am loving this thread!!! Thanks to all the guys digging and posting finds, and thanks to the OP.

Now, I am pretty clueless on all this stuff. Heck it took me a while to figure out HOW-To-USE Text Mod. I wouldn't even attempt to create one. In the Text Mod page on wiki, somebody posted a pretty good HOW-To-Use guide... kinda step- by- step for us Code-Noobs.

Would it be possible for one of you guys to do something similar? DL those 2 programs is really not gonna help those of us that are clueless. Something simple would really be appreciated.

I wouldnt be suprised if Anet have made it for us to try and see what to improve on in GW2. Considering it has been changing they are doing something to it. And that outpost doesnt exist yet looks like a market.... i agree dig deeper!

You see the Houses and White Mantle buildings all over Kryta. It's just a random gathering here to make it look like a fortress.

It makes a lot of sense to implement a-house even if it wont be released for public: they get to learn pitfalls of it and approach problem in more clever way in gw2 engine.

There is nothing worse than feature implemented badly when its too late to redo it and get stuck with mess.

Perhaps they are trying to get as close as they can to an auction house. I doubt we'll get an official answer about this seeing as they wanted to cover the polar bear up so badly (i imagine a AH type outpost would be more important than a miniature). We'll just have to see how it unfolds (and if there more in the dat linked to it)

I would guess that auction house stuff could be running in an alpha/beta section for testing, could become active or we could be all getting boners for nothing as it was already tested and failed. They could be messing with us all for peeking around the dat file. Points fingers!!

I suppose we could try and catch Gailes reaction at the words "Xunlai Market". It would actually be funny if this was payback for the Polar Bear.

On another note i was wondering at the event things (Zombies,Centaurs and Moas). What if this is more testing for GW2? having random events like Centaur rebellions? (i know it would be far off from a persistant event like a dragon attack)

Any new stuff would be great, i would REALLY love to see another addition like sorrows furnace. Something with multiple quests, different spawns per quest etc. That is one of the things about the new dungeons I would change, give them variations with multiple quests.

It could be, but it's very common for a game archive file to have some dead ends that never went into the game.

Crazy looking casting symbol, never would have guessed, makes me think of a dog. Either way, always fun to see oddities like that. Another one I thought looked amazing but was unsure of the locale is.
