What is your top 3 ArenaNet mistakes?

1. Failure to make quick decisions in regards to PvP matters. How long from "Remove Heroes/6v6/Killcount" did it take to actually get something done?
2. Loot scaling.
3. Zaishen Chest. I do not RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOING enjoy getting a Zaishen Key from the Hall Of Heroes chest to come unlock another chest to get a Creme Brulee.

1. Total negation of over popular requests, with very poor excuses of being "hard" or "impossible" to develop. Like: Trade House, Hair Change, Full Heroes, and some other suggestions for PvP.
2. "Balancing" PvP affecting PvE, and viceversa.
3. Throwing to the garbage interesting projects for GW1 (Full stand-alone campaigns. GW:Utopia?), because they "think" GW2 is a better idea. (I even think playable races was originally planed for GW1, I have some evidences making me think that; Also, norn elite skills look like an aborted Druid profession)

I cant say ive read anything or heard anything saying Anet is stopping the support or development of GWs1?
Please correct me if im wrong and show me the evidence, because otherwise stop with the wild speculation. But even so... whats wrong with them putting priority on GW2. Its likely most of what you mentioned will be incorporated into that game due to not being in the first one.

1 Not seperating pvp from PVE, so they can nerf pvp to hell and NOT have it effect the VAST majority of people who play GW and don't give a damm about pvp.
2) Random UBER rare Mini pets EG The Polar Bear
3) The BMP fiscao. They should of told us we could of bought it later, not given us the false impression it was something that was an one off and would be special to those who got it.

2. Lack of central selling format (aka auction house).
3. Delay in the /report feature.
If I had to add a #4,
4. Delay in making their own wiki, causing there two be 2 alright ones instead of one very good easily accessable one ingame.

The zaishen chest is anets answer to many pvpers plea for a sink to our blathazar faction, because some of us really enjoy farming it but have nothing useful to dump it into. I myself have over 2,000,000 balthazar faction, and for one am glad anet implemented something I can dump my faction into while getting something back, unlike tournament tokens which do nothing but get me into tournaments I don't participate in.

i actually like the zaishen chest. all the ppl who complain it sux remember this ITS A BONUS FOR PVP. its not something u go buy keys for cuz its a reward for how much u pvp. even if it drops absolute crap, u dont have to go use it.

1: No auction house/player shop system that's is in practically every online RPG.
2: HoM only accepting Destroyer weapons. (And Tormented weapons aren't good enough why?)
3: The various and numerous farming nerfs in the past.
I love Anet but the above I hate >.<
"But I can tell you what one of their greatest moves were: never having an official forum." Amen to that x100. I'm quite certain it would look like the WoW forums... And nobody needs that on their screen... NOBODY!
"Bad skill balancing" IMO GW's skills are very balanced in comparison to many games, but that's just my opinion I suppose.

I really think people should quit thinking GW2 will be like WoW.
Yes, we'll have a persistent world, there's people in here saying the game is too instanced, but.. you don't want a persistent world?
The level cap is too high.. there's people in here complaining about it being too low.
I honestly think GW2 will be incredible, if you don't, that's fine, but stop contradicting yourselves and other trollers.

1. Lack of gameplay replayability (After you beat a campaign, you already know what's going to happen and stuff... It would be cooler if it was a different story for a different proffesion and stuff)
2. Not telling us wether the Xunlai Market exists
3. The many bugs. The duping bugs, that map travel one from the Guild Hall, and all those other little bugs that don't give any gain, just let you go through walls and stuff and noobs go "OMG IM LykEE SO UbAA L33ttt!!!11"
And that's about it ^-^

2. Doing different promos in different Countries and giving everything to America and forgetting the rest of the world.
3. no decent trading system (standing in outposts for ages trying to scroll through spams to see if anyone wants your stuff, or has stuff you want, is time waisting)

1. Some titles are a travesty of game design: LDoA, Survivor, Drunkard, Sweet Tooth, KoaBD etc... although I liked Cartographer and Protector.
2. Too many classes and skills. They let the game get unmanageable and they know it. TBH I'm really surprised they didn't see it coming.
3. No auction house type thing. In Dark Age of Camelot I had an NPC I could dump items on that I wanted to sell, mark them up, and players would buy them while I was doing my own thing. No need to waste time spamming in trade chat. Roll on Xunlai Marketplace (assuming it's coming...)

1 - th bmp "marketing" and "change of mind" - this had the opposite effect of convincing people not to buy online anymore (and some ppl just not to buy anywhere anymore).
2 - not providing an expand text option for the trade channel where text is cutoff.
3 - not making all campaign items inscribable

2) Not enough Item/Weapon/Armor content.
3) Not enough non-combat content. Crafting or other "professions" would add so much to character development.

1. Item drops
Most item drops in Guild Wars are useless junk that just goes to a merchant, collector, or other money sink. The only saleable, equippable items are a very limited number of runes and perfect weapon upgrades, and rare skins for those people willing to take the time to trade them.
As a result, people who were in the game early had the ability to create enormous wealth for themselves (people who were able to get greens when they first came into abundance were really in luck, as were people who could farm trolls, gryphons, etc. before the nerfing) while people who came in later, either to the expansions or just later in Prophecies, really get screwed on the matter of making enough money to buy anything beyond the bare necessities.
2. PvE/PvP tie
PvE and PvP are not, never were, and never will be the same thing. They don't draw the same types of people. They require entirely different attitudes and tactics and in no way should the behavior of the skills be tied together between the two styles of play in such a heavily competetive game. Tying them together and then trying to insist on "balance" in PvP matches was blatantly ridiculous from the start and should have been plainly obvious (and probably would have been if ANET's goal hadn't been to force players from PvE into PvP as the endgame).
At least they fixed the ridiculous favor system that relied on PvP success to open certain PvE areas...
3. Lack of balance in high-end PvE content
Anyone remember when there were practically only three ways to get into the Realms? 1) Be a necro or monk or 2) Solo it if you could or 3) enough of your guild mates were on and willing to go.
Not only could you only get in when your continent's PvP players were doing well, you could also only get in with guildies or very specific skill makeups (and in that case you only got to go if you were willing to just farm - forget questing). As a warrior, I basically didn't get to go to the Realms more than once every two or three months. Forget about trying to get a group for Tombs with a warrior. I think I've found one freaking PUG to do it with, and I did better with henches than that group did.
Sins and mesmers have it even worse. They're not necessary for anything in any part of PvE and really are only even useful to a player group if the player behind them is ridiculously skilled.

1. No Auction House. Trading in GW has always been and always will be fundamentally broken and using a ludicrously antiquated "you must become a hardcore trade spammer and give yourself migraine headaches to trade" system.
2. Way, way too many incessant nerfings of anything and everything that is common and effective in PVP.
3. Hardly any ways to develop your character. Even Gaile once posted a response in agreement with a poster who said GW has very limited character development. But that is not a "good" thing like some people like to make it out to be.
