Your preferred fighting style
Tender Wolf
So we have a wide variety of professions, each with their own unique way to fight. So I was wondering what everyone's favorite was. Like, up close and personal (tank/sin) or ranged (ranger/paragon)? Or even just wanding things.
I prefer to be at the backlines, and be able to pull foes with a longbow. I've never been big on being the one who's up in the front taking all the damage and being the first to die like warriors seem to do when I play them. Spellcasting is okay but I still like my bow.
In PVP I don't mind using domination and fire magic but sometimes I'll go toucher. But usually I'm in the abck. lol

I like the support characters, except monk-.- because people blame everything on you
But yeah Rits, and paragons are fun to play

Stay away, see the scheme of the battle...
... and nuke where it would make more harm!
Mwa-ha-ha-ha!
In RA, I love to make 'lure' casters.
I make the build so the character looks 'tasty', then, when the enmy aproaches, they find that I have knockdowns, snares and AoE unblockabe skills, XD.
I loved my E/A Dont Get Close build fo a long time.
I think it got buffed with the last updates since last year.

For PvP I love playing backline ranger and midline/backline elementalist
In PvE.. well nuking so...

The main I going with for GWEN and the Hall of Monuments is a Derv. Otherwise I've got a fair mix, except 'Sins. I just cannot play them.
Zeek Aran
I like interrupting with my sin's bow, mesmer's spells, and warrior KD. Best thing ever.
Aera Lure
I'm a monk, so if I'ma fightin, I'ma smitin.
I simply dont play all my other character classes all that much anymore. I dont enjoy them as much as I do my monk, and my monk has all the focus in the realm of titles, things placed in HoM, armor sets. She uses all the space in storage and my other characters haul her stuff around. Suppose that contributes to it as much as anything else.

I MP I
I personally prefer to be run everywhere in the game. When I'm in the mood for it I usually play warrior.
Longasc
I like curse necromancers with their mass hexes/conditions. Sheer power and being nasty towards the enemy. (PvE only)
But I also like Axe Warriors, Cyclone Axe style + Deep Wound. Maybe it is less about fighting style but about the warrior spirit and their shiny toys.
While I appreciate the power of other classes, I somehow do not appreciate them as much.

Depends.
Either let them have it (the [skill]Meteor Shower[/skill] that is) after analyzing the situation, or deliver [skill]inferno[/skill] and the like at their frond door.
In PvE I sometimes toss 'em to the ground with some [skill]unsteady ground[/skill], blind 'em, and stone them to death

I like midline or hit and run stuff - hence why I gravitate towards Mesmers and Assassins. I quite like playing a Monk when I'm not in the mood to annoy other people. But that doesn't happen very often.
chowmein69
i stay in the back and let henchman do the work
Nevin
I find myself best with Rangers (mid-man), specifically variants of the BA build in PvP. Its just so resilient and can dish out so much pain at the same time, I really have trouble finding a build thats quite as balanced as it. Same goes for PvE, Splint Barraging is hella fun.
Whats most satisfying for me though, is large damage spiking. So naturally I love playing Sin spikes, and I always wanted to try the DS/FGJ/Great Dwarf Weapon Warrior Build in PvE, just never have.

Mortal Amongst Mere Gods
I much prefer melee. Mainly I like to play my assassin. The capability of constantly putting out high damage is just so amazing to me. But I play my DSlash warrior more often for KoBD titles.
Ranged characters used ot be fun to me, but I don't get enough action out of them.
I used to like playing ele and rit, but now I never touch my caster characters. I just don't like standing back and being one of the squishy guys in the team. I much prefer the excitement and rush of being up front.

I walk up to people yell in all chat before they notice me *(Character name) whaks you with the stick of lies and you automatically die* some of them are too busy wondering what I'm talking about while I kill them, others are laughing...and the utter noobs sit there believing they have just died while their team yells at them, "It's a joke you idiot!!!"
ajmorgan25
It depends. In PvE I play almost all melee characters, although I did make an elementalist a few days ago. In PvP I like playing Ranger the best, but haven't played much past that.
RhanoctJocosa
i like to frenzy and blow shit up
quickmonty
I like to stay back a ways with my Rit and watch the fun.
Shayne Hawke
PvP: I like to play Assassin and Rit. Assassin has unrivaled instagib potential, and the Rit is able to play many different roles.
PvE: Ranger, sometimes Rit.
PvE: Ranger, sometimes Rit.
Phoenix Tears
my beloved "fight style" is yet impossible to play in GW, because it simple doesn't exist in the game yet ...
Esoteric Mesmer
My favorite by far is my Mesmer, and the one I use the most. There is always at least one mesmer skill that is extremely helpful in the dungeons, and I run a decent domination AoE build. Plus there are so few of us in the game, its cool being one of ten mesmers!
I also like the versatility of the character, I can monk with [skill]Signet of Illusions[/skill] and arcane mimicry, or melee as an iwep me/d, and I really enjoy backfiring the casters

I abouslotly ADORE my Mo/A they think im set to heal or something and one sin or something always comes after me ^^ and when we get away from them i due a massive spike that will kill them well almost completly then they start running away from me >.>
HawkofStorms
Casters. My ele and my mesmer are my two favorite professions.
I do like front line guys as well. Sins in unorganized PvP (arenas, FA, AB) are a lot of fun to play just because ganking people is REALLY easy to do there.
The only fighting style I DON'T like is playing mid-line. I could never get used to the play style of a Paragon, Ranger, or support necro. It is too much a wierd hybrid for me to deal with.

I love casters. It's fun watching warriors get nowhere trying to fight my monk.
isamu kurosawa
I llike everything and play a chacacter dependsing on my mood. I find paragfons/Rts more rewarding overall though as you can mix in both offensive and defensive support as well as direct dmg in a build and its actually more effective than running a single style.
RavagerOfDreams
well i have a simple 3 step process i like to follow
1. teleport
2. go boom
3. watch em fall over ^_^
sin pve ftw

mrmango
I like win. 1
Healers Wisper
I like to curse and run personally, i am too squishy to be on the front lines
Bryant Again
Upclose and personal. I always go head-to-toe in all of my RPGs, it's my preferred way of fighting. WoW is the only exception.
Jetdoc
As a soloer, I like to play passive characters that kill through attrition rather than brute force. Curse necros, spirit ritualists and mesmers are more my style.

Shadowlance.
I would have said melee all the way a year ago, in fact I was through Prophecies and most of Factions with my warrior before putting any real time into another PvE character. Having diversified a bit I'll admit there's fun to be had with nearly every class. I enjoy playing the support Ritualist quite a bit - putting up some spirits and buffing allies with weapon spells and then joining in with Spirit's Strength is a lot of fun. Also playing a fire elementalist with a burning bar is fun - keeping multiple foes constantly lit up is rewarding.
Rothaga
I like to play the Paragon in RA, just run a damage build, fun to watch some big numbers fly from a little paragon.
In almost every other game I like to play a caster because they are a little deeper, more things to watch, but I really like the melee classes in GW, their not just go up and attack, theres more strategy in them then there is in most games.
