I'm quite fond of Rurik myself.
Granted, in Beta he was the cause of much gnashing of teeth, but:
1: He dies. Twice.
2: His voice actor is still one of my favourites in the entire series, purely for "DAH! My good and excellent friends!".
I'm sure the writers killed off Rurik as a fan-service due to the pain he caused in Beta. If you weren't there, well, if you think he Leeroys now, it's nothing compared to then. He wouldn't stop, and you would frantically have to run after him, trying to kill everything before he charged off again.
As for who I'd like to see dead with body parts strewn across a geographical area?
Danika, definitely. Squeaky, annoying, and pre-AI fix, the cause of so much pain in Factions due to not being able to choose which team member to res and getting stuck running between 2 groups >:E
Evennia. For her embarrassingly bad voice acting, particularly at the end of Ice Caves of Sorrow. Every time someone forces me to watch that cutscene where she laments the death of Saidra, I twitch. Physically twitch. Nnnngh.
I'm sure there are others, but these are the only ones that immediately spring to mind.

....yeah, that reminds me. When ArenaNet first rolled out the henchman comments I thought they were terrible. As time went on there were a few funny ones, but they really need to ensure the lines actually are at least marginally amusing, and either way we should be able to turn them off when they get old. Eventually they will.

Norn Shrine NPCs you attack them..they die in like 5 secs flat..then they ask "are you hunting something"
and then tell you you don't have enough kills...bitch i just nailed yer fat ass didn't I?
And Gwen, as a hero...i have to have her on guard or she runs out of my aggro circle...and almost to the edge of the mini map..and then brings back the gourp you just spend TEN MINUTES avoiding!!
and Livia...yer just as bad..and put some clothes on
Zenmai...well she can live but girl...eat a fricking sandwich or something!
And alesia...i LOVE What she says in the norn fighting thing...yeah i kill you too bitch!
