I suppose people who dislike the EotN outpost don't look up at the ceiling. Quite gorgeous.
Tyria -
+ Fisherman's Haven & Augury Rock. I actually like Marhan's Grotto 'cause the floor is nice and shiny. Otherwise, the slowdown is a total bitch.
- Piken Square. Blergh!
Factions:
+ Kaineng Center for its secluded area through where the armour crafters are.
- Shing Jea Monestary for its ugly lighting, and Vasburg Armory which is quite self-explanatory.
Nightfall:
+ Basalt Grotto, lovely area. Kodash Bazaar for its lighting.
- Sunspear Sanctuary, Blacktide Den & Gate of Pain. Bleugh.
Eye of the North:
+ Rata Sum, Gadd's Encampment and Gunnar's Hold for aesthetic reasons.
- Olafstead is quite small and boring. >_>

hate: all
but not, because they are all ugly or so, no, because they are all way to small ...
There is no outpost, which has really the size of a big City.. all outposts look only like little farmer villages >.> in kind of size, where maybe just a hand full of people can live in and the masses of players in them look in outposts, as if they all got invasioned by massive amounts of touristics >.<
There's this huge hidden ares, in cantha at eredons....why can#t this huge area be used to increase the size of the outpost there to make the hidden area to a real implemented one ,that counts also normally to the cartographer title...
this huge area could make out of the tiny outpost a new main town theoretically ... then could bet put also more npc's into this out post and maybe some new quest npc's and some new trader npc's
I hope really, outposts in GW2 will be much bigger in size.
that there iwll be really a differences in looks, as when you enter now only a small village, or a normal town or a huge City and that ther is again a visible difference between a normal city and a main city.
that they will be also visible differences in kind of what the village/town/city is.. if Normal, Commerce or Harbor (can be Commerce too) or Industrial
Outposts in GW1 look all too much 0815 imo..there are no visual differences between normal outposts and main towns/cities, which you would see in real life ...
A Commerce Town looks totally different, than an Industrial City and an Industrial City can't be compared to a tiny Village of Farmers...there's the economic touch in looks, thats imo also total missing in GW1's outposts... all outposts look like average...none is there, which really lloks like a rich town, or ones, that look totally poor, where you would imagine only banned ones, outlaws, and beggers to live in or farmers.
this high intensy of details you mostly see only in offline rpg's on pc or console, but not so much in MMORPG's and that is somehow disappointing. I hope GW2 will show, that Anet can make it better, than most others

Worst Outpost - any torment realms
Tantra Existantance
Best : Shing Jea Outposts
Worst : Bone Palace or Aurios Mines

Best: Kaineng City, I like the way it resembles a modern city, than resembling a flat trash dump, like the most of the cities in GW look like. More buildings in GW2!
Worst: Lion's Arch, too flat, too big, and IMO it looks like a CAMP, not a city.

vasburg armory has super terrible xunlai placement.
have to like travel across the world to get from the other
merchants to the storage. too much open space, the place
needs it's own cartography title, seriously.

Favorite outpost: (Havent gotten far enough in the Prohicies game yet.)
Worst outpost: ALL OF POST-SEARING. Seriously. Wtf the quests are boring, the missions are incredibly boring. And the scenary plain sucks

Some people seem to be confusing outposts with landscape in general.
Ex: Kryta? That isn't an outpost..
