I find it funny that some people think the "elite" vanquishers are actually getting anything here.

Well anyway im leaning forward to this weekend, but i wont join any nub pug that screams URSAN because thats autofail on my title, cheap work around and it doesnt reward me at all, i love to work for me titles and not cheapen it by a lame yet awesome skill.
Since ive been busy doing factions i think i'll just concentrate on vanquishing that one first, yes i know its the more easy campaing to do, but gotta do it anyways.

I wish we'd have another double SS/LB weekend since I had the stomach flu for the last one and couldn't participate.

Other weekend events tied to a title make obtaining that title easier, this one does goes a step ahead!
~1k gold more after an hour++ of vanquishing makes a difference that's well worthy of an weekend event.
500-1000 Extra exp. makes a huge difference too, great help for those going for Legendary Survivor by Vanquishing

Instead of Double XP and Gold when Vanquishing, they should have done Bonus Faction or Bonus Reputation when you vanquish an area. That would have been better.

Interesting weekend, but not going to get my vanquishing all weekend long, VQing is boring as heck done H+H and I prefer to take my time doing it with guildies.

I dont mind it, ive been slacking on the vanquishing front this past few weeks, gives me a bit of incentive.
Although the whole double xp is odd, you have to be lvl20 to vanquish anyway and whos going to use vanquishing to get survivor?

You get huge ammounts of Xp from vanquishing anyway.
You don't go vanquishing for the gold at the end either.
Want me to go vanquishing ? Give me a green arrow to find the last 5% foes that I've missed on some out of the way corner.
95% of foes takes about an hour ? the next 5% will take another half hour !
Vanquishing is about killing them, not finding them ....

DOUBLE GOLD? Vanquish doesnt give any gold that can be counted as money and doubling 1-2k makes 2-4k It just doesnt worth the time. People who vanquish will still do and pğeople dont is not even near of getting encouraged

Calm down children - it's not an event, it's a weekend bonus. I doubt I benefit from 1/10 of these things, but I'm happy they bother to include them.

you get hard mode when you complete the campaign in question. Then any lvl 20 on the account can access hard mode by clicking the red helmet on the party window

meh. good for the vanquishers, i suppose, kinda. more gold is always good, but xp is pretty useless. it certainly isn't enough to motivate me to start vanquishing.

This is probably a test by Anet as an answer to all the QQ over vanquish rewards sucking. Which they do! But I would think they're doing this one to see if the 2x gold reward would influx too much gold into the economy. I doubt it would since most players do play hard mode unless farming and farmers don't vanquish so w/e. I think we'll see this as a permanant add sometime soon.

How come farmers can make loads of money coming out and killing the same group over and over, while vanquishers got rewarded like maybe 2k per zone.
I just think there should be more profit in taking out whole zones.

Fine for people who are Vanquishing anyway, but Vanquishing takes so long that even though I make less money farming my current spot each run, I can do the runs three or four times in the time it takes to Vanquish one medium sized zone.
Vanquishing is an epic fail.
And, of course, the experience bonus, like all experience bonuses, is pointless. I already have over 200 skill points. I don't think I'm in danger of running out anytime soon.

Yeah double gold and xp from vanquishing....really lame. They should up it to a nice 3x to 5x. I doubt this event will push much more people to vanquish anything. I guess any event is better than none.

This is a pretty poor weekend, in my opinion. At least the double LB/SS weekend and double Gladiator points might get some people to try doing these things some more, or even for the first time. But nobody is going to go Vanquish an area this weekend because of this. Meh. Doesn't seem very well thought out.

WE dont have anything bonus this weekend. Getting 500gold more for vanquishing isnt anygood than getting none at all. Lol just look wiki gow much gold you get for vanqing an area. Double those amounts are nothing worth the trouble

Double XP and gold for Vanquishing is pretty sad. The rewards are not very good to begin with, and doubling them doesn't make them much better. Triple would be decent, but still not a GREAT deal. They really should have added more to the 'double' part of this weekend. Double rare drops, double key/lockpicks drops, double rep/SS/LB points, etc. Somehow, they managed to make a worthless reward look even worse.
