Double Gold and XP from vanquishing

They should have made it so that there is only HALF the monsters there usually are in an Area as a bonus, insted of extra XP or Money!

The reason I say that is because people constantly bitch about them. If you don't like it, don't participate in it and STFU.

10times more event would make the rewards considerable. No fool would spend hours for 4k reward. Unless the person who canq's doesnt care the gold but title

I have to say that no matter what Anet does it will never, ever reduce the amount of QQ on these forums.

In theory though it would be good for survivors, if you are willing to risk them in a vanquish like this... I'm contemplating just doing the area outside Kamadan as I've never had a problem with that area.

Yes the double xp isn't worth anything really, but the double gold will be nice Especially since I've a bit of vanquishing to do.

Double gold and XP does not feel like much of an incentive if you look at what you get normally.

Doubling the gold is a tad stingy. Make it triple gold and it is interesting.

Vanquishing an area with 250 creatures grants you just 1,250g so during this event we'll get 2.5k instead. Meh.

Got to have HM to benefit.

For PvE, the best weekends have been those that relate to progressing your PvE-skill related titles....those are the ones that I can't seem to get anything else done but those.

Double XP is for leveling, you can't vanq. until you are level 20 so that part is stoopid. The double gold might be nice if it meant double the chance of gold item drops instead of coins. I have to agree that it's pretty lame and A.net could have done better with no bonus this weekend instead of ruining their credibility a little more with a poorly thought out weekend promotion.

Sorry for the rant, but most weekends are more useful thank this one which really stuck out!

I would triple the gold and make increase the XP 5..10 times.

That way you would get 1Skill Point per vanquised area.

That would be usefull for those that have to make consumables or acquire more skills or something.

Currenlty I can get 40.000XP in a 10 min Fronis run. Can't compare!

Wow! You're complaining about double gold... Isn't it better than nothing... I mean they could just give us double xp...
For those who have already done their vanquishing, yes I understand complaints.
For those who can't be bothered? Why complain? The weekend event you want is sure to come around soon enough.
Everyone else though... Typically for 3-4 hours of play I normally manage 3-5k gold. True I don't always vanquish, but sometimes I do. So the possibility of making 10k instead certainly appeals to me. Especially since I'm doing something that is going to help me with my goal of getting legendary vanquisher.

Anet don't HAVE to do ANYTHING every week end. It's a BONUS.

Me? I'll prob Vanquish a few areas. Something I want to do anyway, though I get distracted by 2* Glad points and the like... So any bonus is a good bonus!

If you don't want to Vanquish and get some extra gold... do something else.. or if you are really peeved about it... rumor has it there is 'another real life' out there.. and .. Hmmm week end... go catch up with friends and natural sunlight! ;-)

Having thought about it a bit, there is really nothing they can do to encourage Vanquishing short of dropping one of those dungeon-style treasure chests upon completion.

Surely this event isn't on that Guild Wars keyboard...

In sympathy for all the poor souls that get sucked in and die going for their next level survivor title this weekend, trying to vanquish for double XP, who otherwise wouldn't go near hard mode!

The could make the rewards scale appropriately to the amount of time required to do it. Hard Mode just irks me, for some reason. The latter parts aren't really that much harder than normal mode, and the only reason the early parts are that hard is because of the decreased party size. For those of us who don't particularly care to have combat for the sake of combat, Hard Mode provides a tiny reward increase, but a very substantial increase in the time required to obtain that reward.

Really, the gold reward at the end is utterly pointless. I can make more than that in 5 minutes farming most areas. Worse, the drop rate on tomes and golds, and the quality of the items when they drop, is only marginally better than normal mode.

In the end, unless you enjoy the Vanquishing itself, which some people do, the entire concept of hard mode is a ridiculous waste of time.

Witman's Folly works well for this too. You can wipe Grawls all over the map with ease and get the full reward from level 26 enemies (if you don't aggro certain bosses depending on your build).

Lots of bonus weekends require you to have certain things unlocked. It's not really that uncommon to have certain requirements like this.

Unlikely. I wish they'd quit trying to make the events "useful". To me, that's like saying "well, we have this game mechanic, but we think it sucks so here, we'll try and ease the pain for you a little".

I like the bonuses that are just more fun than anything. Bring back the double chance for golds from chests or something like that, IMHO. I'd rather have bonuses that are less "useful" and more about just having fun (with the understanding that individual notions of "fun" vary).

It's a BONUS. It's not like they broke the game, they're just making a minor addition on top of what's already there. If you don't like the BONUS just don't participate.
