[pre]I've been in more than four, but I can only remember the last four I was in.
First one I was in because my friend invited me in, and I stayed for a while after he stopped playing. Then I got bored with the guild and just left.
Joined Ryu Ryu [Life] after that. I became officer one day without hearing anything about it beforehand and didn't realize it for a few days. The GL told me I got it because I was nice. Stayed with the guild for about year, around 'till EotN came out, and then I left to do some playing on my own.
Next I joined another guild I was invited into by different IRL friends. The guild/alliance was immersed in drama all the time, and a few of those friends eventually split up or quit playing, so I left too. It also carried little appeal to me because it was a Luxon guild, and I wanted to get back to doing Kurzick stuff.
Current guild I'm in is The Centre Path [TCP], which usually stays in high faction alliances unless the GL and officers are being "disrespected" by the rest of the alliance, or the alliance is "immature". Hasn't really been much of my fancy past that, since most of the events they do involve Ursan.
Around sometime when I was in [Life], I was only going to wear my cape in guilds I respected. I wore it in that first guild because I didn't know better, and I didn't wear it in that other guild I was invited into by friends because I didn't feel the homeliness that I felt in [Life]. I do wear it in [TCP].[/pre]
How many guilds have you been in?

Myself, well I have been with the same players that I enjoyed PvE with but in different 2 guilds.
The First group asked me to GvG cause they requested my presence as a guild member. I thought ok sounds different. I had never GvG's before and I was playing my monk with PvE skills as I had not unlocked many skills as I use the same ones most of the time.
WOW what a lesson that was. We died and never kill a single member of the other team. Took about a minute. There was yelling and ranting and going nuts and stuff. I logged out and shut Guild and Alliance off and went PvE.
I come back 2 days later and my guild leader was gone and so was most of the guild. It was a mess.
I stayed in that guild and then, poof one of my fav PvE guild members was gone. I pm'd in game asked where did everyone go. Never go a responce to what happened but got an invite in to a NEW guild.
I took it and became the only member of the guild + the guild leader of course! Woot. More in it now of course.
So things are back to normal. I still PvE with the same "Guild Members" but my Guild changed. Very peaceful, helpful guild.
"Long Live THE GUILD!!!", as I always say when signing off.

2.
My first guild was with a few RL friends and people they had met in GW before I bought the game. Then this disbanded after a slow deterioration into inactivity. The second which I think i'm still in (haven't logged on in 6 months) is a guild which was friendly with my old guild so I already knew around half the members and some of the other people from my first guild also moved over there. Was nice because it was more of the same, casual GvG and general fun stuff going on.
