Whatever the way it is, I want my main character, and ONLY my main character to get the title, but it's impossible right now.
This would allow so, so I want this. Even if the other character had to be of the same primary profession would still work. It would also be a new good reason to get EotN for the ones that refuse to but want this.
The same could be done with the LDoA, couldn't be?
Possible Solution to the Survivor squabble

But as said, it should be limited to the same profession, a Warrior can only give it to another Warrior, Mesmer to Mesmer, and so on.
As for LDoA, if it gets the same feature, this one should NOT be limited to the same profession, as 4 professions cannot get this title (unless they actually let us bring them to pre-searing...)

Do this. This is a good idea. It will satisfy both sides of the argument.
This would absolutely seal any possibility of people complaining about the title being cheapened. Implement this if you must. There is no way you could find fault in the idea, especially with this suggestion added onto it.

For example my survivor experience heart can only be transferred from Warrior to Warrior or from Assassin to Assassin, etc. I've seen other threads where people complain, "well sure, you earned survivor on your backline Elementalist, now try earning it on a frontline warrior" |

Most of my suggestion I based on things that already exist in game in some way or another. This is it make coding easy, seeing how dev main focus is on gw2.
Items already exist that adds points to titles, sweet tooth items.
There already event that cause effect on amount of points on a title, at the end of any gwen dungeon, u get rep toward a faction when you kill the boss.
Warning exists already in the HoM when you dedicate minipets and weapons.
There is already already items that can't be drop or traded, the nesting material.
Making proffession/birthplace requirement would require new coding, closest thing are tome, but they don't have primary/secoundary destiction.
Also the answer of adding a new title would require new code seeing how no other title care what other titles you have.

wether this idea is put for profession related only, it shouldn't matter to anyone, as if they want survivor, they would make a new character of the same profession. Also, for LDoA, I would also agree that this idea would be a good thing, seeing how 4 professions cannot get that title, and people's main character *including myself* may have the profession of Assassin, Ritualist, Dervish, or Paragon, making it impossible to get it. Same goes for old characters before the LDoA title was out. So again, /signed for both titles and the profession idea for Survivor.

thats quite a nice idea. It would allow all my chars to go for it. I wanted in my main monk all along. Its my favourite character , my favourite title and also the statue happens to be dwayna. Dwayna = monk....so ofcourse i want it. /signed
but people will ask this aswell for other titles thats the only problem.
I see the same being wanted for LDOA title...
but then again if this one was done aswell it should be limited to tyrian players. would make sense and it wont be abused because i doubt people will wanna LDOA more than once.
On another note if we're gunna be serious, you could only allow 1 heart of transfering to be made. like a new char will have to be made if you want to get the title on another character

I hope anet looks at this thread and puts this idea into consideration for the survivor and LDoA titles. even if survivor is changed so you have to be teh same profession in order to get the title on your main instead of any profession to transfer it. Although, for simplicity, just making it any character would be nice, have it set up the same as a Staf of Transference, except, of course, from the HoM instead of a consumables trader. Also, in order to prevent people from farming leg survivor characters from the dwarven boxing stuff, the "Heart of Transference" should not be able to be traded.
Again, nice idea and /signed

There hasn't been a better idea so far and the idea is simple, yet there's only three pages to the thread. This thread needs more attention, especially from ANet.
Does anybody know if ANet have confirmed or denied fixing the title? It would be advisable for them to conclude the situation once and for all.

Thank you for adding the poll, hopefully the Dev will see this. When I thought this up, I focused on simplicity and compromising for both side. I believe. correct me if I'm wrong, is the most simple and doesn't make people think the title isn't any more cheapened.
With the addition of Party Animal, r6 KoaBD is possible for alot more people. As a r6, I didn't make this suggestion to cheapen the KoaBD title track, but to allow people to get credit when GW2 comes along. Alot of people choose their main character before titles, and most choose them before the HoM and GW2 was ever mentioned. I have made a survivor character, I would have made a LDoA character, but I don't because I don't believe I will get rewarded for it when GW2 comes around. With the HoM being character based, i can only assume that benefits will only come from my main, so those two achievements would be wasted on another character. This solution would fix that delima.
Hopefully those who voice their opinion for disliking this idea would explain why, and I can think of way to alter this idea to be more to your liking. I want both to win something with this solution.

The title of this thread should be changed to reflect the idea. I'm sure many people glance at the title and just ignore it because it seems like another generic survivor title suggestion. This is probably why there are only three pages. It's possible that some people don't read the thread and just vote "No".
Change the title to "Make the Survivor Title Transferable" and it'll get more attention than "Another Idea for the Survivor Title".

Only other restriction I might add is that the character would have to be older than when the title came out to transfer it to them. Maybe I am just being fussy, but I don't like the whole idea of not caring about it when it came out but now I do. I do care about the it didn't exist when I made my character and I would have tried to do it.
Anyways, best idea I have seen to solve the problem so far.
