Mini Pig Woes...

Ok, now this makes me angry...

ANET gave away tons of mini pigs. Some of us were really nice and gave away our mini pigs to those that didn't have any. Now there is a collector for them, and those that gave away their mini pigs to others that were not at the event or who had losing districts are here without mini pigs because we were kind. All those people we gave them to are selling them for...get this... 100k! 100K! WTF? Nice people finish last. Not only do we lose out on any money (which is fine, that was why we gave them away), but now we can't get the new mini using the pig. I call BS on this one, big stinky piles of BS.

in a related note, depending on how high these go, I could become rich again........

Selling the Mini Pig for 100k is a nice way of saying "Hey, I'm a scammer!"

I got 3, sold 2 of them for 3k. I don't need one, so I'm good.

But on a serious note, people are paying 50-100k for a mini pet, when the ''reward'' for trading it in will just be another common item, so quite literally they're paying tons of cash for a stupid soon-to-be common item.

i recon this collector is gunna be for lunar tickets (year of the pig)... that would be good. if they want a pig, they will trade in for tickets of the pig and have a slight chance of getting one#

If you are complaining about people what people do with something you gave them, then you are less idiotic, but if you are complaining that its ANets fault, holy jeebus you need help..

Meh, I think it's bs. Hopefull it's one for one, I've always kept myself one dedicated mini-pig and gave the rest away.

No, I am complaining because I gave a lot of these away out of the kindness of my heart only to now have to buy one from someone for some outrageous price so I can have one again for this collector. I don't regret giving them away, but I do regret that the people I gave them too are now becoming obscenely rich off of a simple gift from the heart. I give, and then get more taken away. I think you missed the point. ANET shouldn't make the mini pig a requirement to get the new mini from the collector. It isn't fair to those that gave away their mini pigs to those that didn't have one.

The event page has the details. Basicly there will be 2 new miniatures - a Mini Rat which can be gained from Lunar Tokens and most likely the finale and another special mini (Possibly a Nian as it shows a picture of one above it) that can be got by trading a Mini Pig into a collector.

well, we will need to wait and see what the reward for these pigs is....it might just be the rat...in which case I will trade in one of mine, otherwise if its just something like a free lunar token, who cares????
and no I wont sell mine---I gave the other bunch I had away as well and kept one for each of my guildees (I have one I dedicated the others are waiting to be picked up---though since its been over a year-----------------)

They shouldn't make it a requirement to have more than 1, since who actually does like to waste storage space with 5 minipets that at the time couldn't be dedicated and were worth nothing? Might as well give them away to the people who were unable to get them.
