Mini Pig Woes...

Can we trade a dedicated pig to the collector?

Well on the upside its 2 new event minipets that everyone can access (even if you have to buy the 2nd one) unlike the polar bear fiasco.

I'm hoping it only takes one piggy to do as it seems i gave the rest of mine away...

anet has a retarded rewarding system , so the people who gave away mini pigs out of kindness get nothing , the people who got the minipigs got 100k? Thats just fcuked up xD

never had a pig, never needed a pig
sure i collect mini's and a few months ago i thought, maybe i should buy one to add to my collection
but now i won't buy one
and all those people throwing their money out the window for a pig will soon see it's wasted money when the prices hit rock bottom

Be honest... You gave away yours because you had so many and there was no commercial value to them. I sold some of mine like for 1k back in the day. Istill have like 4 or 6 somewhere.
So just let it go and stop QQ so much.

Lmao.. I still have like 20 mini pigs because of the festival last year.. and I just gave em away to noobs that really want a minipet.. regardless of what kind it is o_O

Well this really is just an epic fail.

the mini pigs i got i :

a.) gave away to lvl 10's and under
b.) gave to guildies who missed the event
c.)and gave away as prizes at events

I dont regret giving them.

i do regret missing my new mini.

i secretly hope that anet changed their mind and gives those rats like the pigs last year
such will punish the human's their greed for money

From the wiki: "If a district did well in the Feast of the Celestial Pig minigame during the finale of Canthan New Year 2007, all players in the district received a Miniature Pig."

The same will happen with the celestial rat. So you will not get a new rat for the mini pig. But they talk of another minipet, that is something worthy to turn in a minipet.

i gave my extra pigs to guildies who missed the event. my alliance farmed the celestial feast items and camped in one district to make sure everyone won a pig. no regrets, but still...bah @ anet if they do this. no good deed goes unpunished.

Wow... i had 13 xD at least my friends will get a new mini lol.. i just hope u can trade in a customized 1... only one i have left.

the problem is that it clearly states that there will be 2 minis this year; rat will be available like pig...but the other one?

Nightstalker, I think you misunderstand, the rat will probably be as easy to get as the pig, coming from lunar fortunes or as event rewards. The collector with a 'celestial surprise', who only trades 'celestial surprise' for mini-pigs is what is pissing some people off. Especially since there are two mini-pets available in this event, and they're only saying the rat for now and are mum on the second mini-pet. 'Celestial Surprise' may be the second mini-pet, so it's causing QQ.

By the way, they also mentioned an 'exciting, but volatile' gift that we get with the rat event if we make the rat happy, wonder what that would be?

So it has a higher chance that we can trade pig for a NEW minipet? coz on the page it says there will be two special minipets

but those two mini's do sound enthralling

I dunno...I got multiple piglets last year. I gave most to guildies that couldn't go.

When I had 2 left, I gave 1 to a newbie who was needing ?'s asked in Kamadan one day and who seemed very nice. He was so grateful just that I took time answering his question without making fun of him. After a bit, he was asking what minis were etc, I gave him a piggie. Was the only "spare" pet in storage at the time and I felt bad actually I couldn't give a "better" pet. He was absolutely thrilled though, and I went away happy.

I'm still happy. If he sells it, fine. I gave it to him just trying to make someone brand new to gw happy. Either way...I did. I still have 1 cuz I love da piggies
