The ingratitude is kind of ugly, but there's always a part of me that is a little happy when I see people taking little gifts for granted - because it means those are people who are, on the whole, well cared for and not too familiar with life's disappointments.

I was a spoiled brat when I was a kid, too. I really miss it. Sure, I appreciate the little things more now - but mostly because everything else is such a struggle.

So, you know: go ahead and complain, peeps. Enjoy it while you can.

It's not exactly a "gift" when you pay for it.
You didn't have to pay anything to get Lunar Tokens from the quest, which could then be used to get Lunar Fortunes or Red Gift Bags. You didn't need to spend any money to get stuff.

I knew it was going to be some sort of fireworks display consumable. Would of been nice if it was reusable instead of one time use but meh. It was new at least.

You already got what you paid for though. When you bought the game, there was no promise of event items included for what you purchased. When you bought GW, you bought access to the games. When you buy weapon packs, you get access to the weapons. When you buy skill packs, you get access to the skills.

You did not buy a package for access to event items.

Since you did not pay real life money or in game money to get it, it is, in fact, a gift.

Nevertheless, it didn't explain why the frog told us to save our party animal items.

I've participed at "the finale" two times.
And each time I helped the chiefs by giving them the objects they needed (got enough for one chief, and half that another one needed).
The rat was pleased. Two times.
And I only got 12 red bags and the hat. No fireworks for me...that's great.
I thought that they were given for those who helped the chiefs.

yeah it would've been nice if...

Will ANET ever do anything right??? those of you that can't find a reason to enjoy the game, who must always complain about absolutely everything... because you don't like anything extra that ANET gives us, that was NOT included in the game you bought, and that you get for absolutely FREE ...
why don't you try and find a game that has a monthly fee, where you can DEMAND updates, or whatever it is you feel like you are entitled to??

I am not always thrilled with what they do. I didn't care at all for the pig 5:1 trade. It's not a perfect game, they don't always do what would be perfect for me... but in the end, it's a game, I surely got my money's worth... and for that, I am grateful.
