Is Maxed Hall of Monuments Possible in this Life?

11 destroyer weapons --- each weapon in material and k is somewhere around 40-50k each
5 hero armor upgrades---can be earned in challenge missions or bought for as little as a few k each.
"Kind of a Big Deal"- this can be done without spending anything, to get to rank 5 you will need to buy lots of stuff.
A hall is considered full when that much is completed. I guess I was confused. I thought the more titles etc that you got, the better your HoM would be. But this thread has helped clear that up for me. Thanks!

I don't think you were confused but there seems to be general confusion in this thread. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I looked up what tmakinen said in response to my question on wiki and there actually is a difference in he Hall of Monuments depending on how many maxed titles you have (in increments of 5). I didn't know that since the first time I went in there I had10 already.
Others are talking about a "full hall". I don't see any significance at all with having a full hall. My personal opinion (and it is just my opinion) is that a full hall is simply having achievements on all monuments. I don't think it matters if you have 1 destroyer weapon or 11. If any individual monument matters, I would think it would have to be the manument of honor since it directly represents the achievements in all of GW1. -Joe

General confusion on this thread is an understatement! I went and "updated" my HoM, and as it turns out, I can add non-maxed titles to my title monument... why is this?
I wish ANet would give us a little more understanding about what the HoM is going to do for GW2, and whether having all 11 destoyer weapons is better than just 1, or putting 10 titles on is better than just five (even if we can only display 5), etc.

No, you can't. Not without a exploited skill tome for a hard res. Which would be a perma-bannable offence.
LDoA is only possible by death levelling, you have to die thousands of times to make it possible!
If this isn't in the FAQ, then it damn well should be

This is somewhat OT but the proper expression is that LS and LDoA are intended to be incompatible. So far two different methods have been used to circumvent the restriction, either through tomes smuggled to pre-searing or by using a glitched quest that, if you accepted the reward with your inventory full, would grant the experience without actually closing the quest. Both of these glitches have been fixed and people who took advantage of them got booted out of pre-searing but not permabanned to my knowledge.
Getting back to topic, I believe that the only useful part of HoM is the weapons rack. All the rest is e-peen but filling the rack will most likely give your GW2 character access to a nice set of max weapons like the pre-order bonus weapons in GW. Although nothing spectacular, they are a very convenient resource. Make sure to record one of each skin

I read the notice on the guildwiki very carefully, and while it does say that each monument can only display a certain number of items/titles, etc., it also says that you can add more than what is displayable. Does this mean that if we add more than what can be displayed (e.g. with titles), that these may in some way help our GW2 experience as well?

If this isn't in the FAQ, then it damn well should be You could repeatedly get the quest reward for Rites of Remembrance, so it was possible. However, ArenaNet fixed this. Some guy was bragging about it in this forum, lol. Good riddance if he got banned.

A long time ago you could close guild wars just as the cinematic started right after killing the charr in pre-searing and it would reload you back in ascalon city with all the quests available to take again you could repeat this and do the quests for the rewards and cash them in again and again and again.
As long as you ttiming was pretty good for when the cinematic started you would be able to do it all day long, beats death leveling...

its a Catch 22
If you did achieve max HoM in this life, you would have no life. But if you have no life, then you couldn't have achieved it in this life.

Only Anet knows the answer to that question

That sucks, I actually thought you only needed 5 maxed titles to fill in that monument.... 25 maxed titles is a bit much. I am only at 8 maxed titles at the moment and that took alot of work. I got 3 protectors, max SS and LB, max Asuran, Deldrimore, and Norn so far. working on Vanguard and vanquishing... but if i wanted to get 25, probably take all year.

There is filling HoM wich has been explained already, and there is getting r6 kobd.
Your HoM looks diffrent wich each rank of kobd, and at r6 the statue behind your honour monument will be complete. If you fill your hom it is my understand your hall will look one higher rank that it really is. Also you dont even need 5 maxed titles to fill your hall. You could do UW,FoW,Deep,Urgoz and Final Assaut, wich is no titles at all. JONO51
So to get this cleared up, is the titles monument considered maxed out at 5 or 25? Because I know the horse statue goes up with KoaBD, but its full,in terms of displayable achievements at 5. Anyone know which it is? Thanks
Also, in terms of what I think e will get for rewards: Weapons - like 'tmakinen' said, probably a set of max weapons. Armor- Maybe special goves/headgear, as it was a first I think to have these in EotN. Minipets - Probably more minis, but customized to stop people getting insta-rich. Heroes - No clue, maybe a few bonus items for these 'companions' we're meant to get in GW2? Titles -Absolutely havent gt the foggiest on this. Covah
Quoted from wiki:
Full Hall of Monuments The maximum number of displayable achievements at each monument are: * 5 Heroes or Pets in the Monument of Fellowship * 20 Miniatures in the Monument of Devotion * 5 PvE or PvP Titles in the Monument of Honor * 5 Armor sets in the Monument of Resilience * 11 Destroyer Weapons in the Monument of Valor Note: Doing the above of course does not stop you from Zebideedee
What happens if you get all of them, do you get an " I'm a sad git!" T-shirt to wear in GW2?
TBH I couldn't care less if I have a title or not, god help the androids that think titles are what gaming is all about Disco_Will_Not_Die
You could get both Defender of Ascalon and Survivor titles if you had two computers on at the same time, and had one person death level the char while the other kills them. Sure, it'd take forever, and both characters couldn't get the titles, but one character could.

No you can't.
The ressurection shrine only activates when both players are dead, regardless if rez sig is equipped. I'm not sure if there's any other possible way without exploiting. RTSFirebat
You don't need to reach rank 5 KoaBD to have the HoM considered "full". You simply have to fill each of the monuments. But getting rank 5 does change how the thing before the titles monument looks.
Check the official wiki, it says nothing about getting rank 5 KoaBD. |
