This may sound rather random...

The Ritualist hero Razah was "created" as it says on the Wiki page about him.

Quote:
Razah is a Ritualist hero and is a creature made out of the Mists. It was created with an unknown purpose, and the nature of its origin is more akin to demons than the human form that it takes.
Does this mean he'll be still around for GW2?

it could be an idea Anet could ponder upon.

Its never said if hes immortal or not. Plus there are alot of ways to die in Tyria and he could fall to one of them. Still it is something Anet could extend on since they left all his details blank.

/sigh More "Could this be in GW2?"... really we are jumping the gun. We will find out in good time. Yes it would be cool if he was in GW2, but with ANet you just never know. So yes it is a possibilty but so is them making bunnies a playable class.

I thought he was a really cool character in the series, and I do hope he has a larger role to play in all this.

He may be or may be not a demon, but he was created in a similar way as demons.

I also think that he could be the distilled essence of the previous owner of the power of the god of secrets. Maybe it's his second chance. Remove memores, remove powers, pick the remaining energies and shape them into a human-like being.

He could be a creature that never ages like demons or age like humans.
We know nothing about him so we cannot tell.

I think that Asuras can be considered playable Bunnies.

Razah in GW2 would be interesting ... and he could be anything.

Major villain, Major Good guy, some minor storyline or just single quest related NPC.

Companion (reward for companionship monument?)

He would be pretty cool as newbie character instructor (Bound by ancient heroes to help out their heir).

Considering all this "PvP in the mists" talk in GW2....

perhaps the ziashen will be replaced with razah-like creatures?

Haha! I was about to say something very similar.

Razah must not like the way I smell, because he is always running away from me, and into the 2 extra packs I was trying to avoid. One of these days I'm leaving him dead as a lesson to him.

On a more serious note, I'd like to see him as a 'newbie island' trainer in GW2. Something about how he sees potential in us that he hasn't seen since our ancestors first began guiding him towards his purpose. Now he realizes part of that purpose was to aid us in finding ours.

My speculation on this has always been that with the next PC going to the HoM (in GW2), certain quests will lead to the descendants of these heroes of old. In the case of Razah, there would probably be a quest that leads directly to him. Probably get some interesting back-stories too.

This an interesting point I never really thought of...Razah was overlooked really since he was only available after you beat the game. I think A-net should run with this concept of bringing him over into Guild Wars 2. That would be interesting to see what they do with his history, both before we get him, and what happens from that point until the start of Guild Wars 2.

I think it would be interesting to see it again in Guild Wars 2. Maybe it'll have a big purpose, maybe not.
Personally, I hope you stumble upon it down in a hole somewhere muttering to be let out, but you can't do anything. It would be interesting to be wandering through some high-end area, trying your hardest not to die and you see "Razah: I'm still down here..." Maybe it could be like Ma'iq the Liar in Oblivion, and talk about things that people wanted to be put in GW2 but were not added.
Who knows.

I like this idea, he could be some super hard to get to guy or reward to a quest or something. I can almost see the story already,"there is a creature with no body, a creature of the mists that haunts this dark mountain cave!" Find him and remove him"

100 gold

haha d2 reference ftw.

Anyways, I do think it is a great idea to put Razah into GW2. For me, the only cool NPCs in NF were Palawa Joko and Razah. I think a good way to bring him in *although somewhat unfair to those without NF and/or EN* is to set up a quest in the HoM only availible to those who put up his statue in GW1. Or, if he must not be a hero, it can be set up as he battles Joko as Onarik said, he was probably joking, but that would be neat .

As for those who say his past is never explained. It is. It's just very very very short. Let me sum it up: "Razah was born in mists to lean. He was kept 'imprisoned' by Abaddon. We set him free."
...
O wait, thats his actual past .

Theory 1
"We don't know who he is, only that he has horrible taste in fashion and he breaks into the families' houses at night and steals from the cookie jar. YOU MUST STOP THIS FIEND!"
*Locate the monster.
*Destroy the monster.
*Report to the Game Show Hub and try to guess what character from GW1 the monster is, for a chance to win a random dye!

Reward:
500 Gold
2500 Experience

Razah was created to learn, right? And since he's immortal, he'll be learning for some time. He learns and learns and learns and goes insane through some crappy plot twist, you need to destroy him. Yeah it's basically Theory 1 but with more explanation.

My impression was that he was created to be a servant of Abaddon - possibly just to be another Torment demon, or maybe he was a special creation to replace the generals we'd just obliterated - except that we intervened before his mind could be shaped in the correct fashion. That was his original intended purpose in life, but it was never given to him so it was up to us to give him another, hopefully nobler, purpose.

I can see Razah in GW2 as one of the last sunspears in elona fighting Joko then after that Razah can return to the mist or help the tree people find their purpose in the world like he has.

Zhed might be around.

Ventari is an old bag in Prophecies (and GW:EN). Let's use the earlier year and say he's around 80 (human years) in 1072 AE. Ventari dies in 1165 AE.

1165-1072=93. He will die around the age of 173.

Zhed is, what, 19? 17? One of those if I recall. So yeah, he could live roughly another 160 years.

From the official website and the manual:
Rebellious Centaur

"Tell me again why I should help you. Where were you, two-legs, when my family was slain by the Kournan jackals?"

Origin: Centaur
Age: 17

So yeah, if centaurs can live that old.. but still fairly unlikely to Zhed live over 260 years old.

I can see it now, Razah and Zhed form a crime fighting duo against the evils of Palawa Joko.

But on a seriouser note, Razah is a demon from the Mists, the Torment Demons can't really die since they can just go back through a portal or by a Call to the Torment skill. Not sure if that's true for Razah but he seems to be made the same way as the demons.

From memory Vekk was described as "young" and is already well on his way to a three-digit age. I would say he'll probably still be about (barring accidents or something anyway).

Please don't make Razah into a 343 Guilty Spark. Razah wasn't annoying enough in GW1 to warrent destroying him in GW2.

Would be cool to see him return though, he does seem like the immortal type, they never did exactly say how old Razah is to begin with.

As I read through this thread again, I started thinking, how did the "immortal" idea for Razah come about? He *obviously through putting him in a party* can die, unlike Joko, we just assume he cannot be killed *definition with immortal* but we, somewhat, know he cannot age *eternal youth concept, not same as immortality*.

Although it would be grand if Razah can use the Call of Torment skill in GW2, if he is in GW2, which as iI said would be great. It would most defenitly suck if we have to kill him like some are saying. And it would be grand if he really cannot die, but as I said, we just *somewhat* know he doesn't seem to age.
