Chances are just as big/small any time you use a CC, in regular stores, resturants (handheld card readers) as it is online, it just gets more publicity when it happens online. The majority of ID thefts are from offline transactions.


If your so afraid of ID theft open a PAYPAL account (You can have a bank account, can't you?) they will give you a DEBIT CARD issued by Master Card and no risk of ID theft. (no age restrictions on Paypal as long as you have a bank account)

i tried getting a bank account but i cant without parental consent.
