Has anyone else spent a good half hour drawing something and only to realize that it won't even show up once you've reduced the resolution to show it to people? I totally did that today with the little gold rings on her dress- I might as well have just drawn plain yellow circles and it would look pretty much the same as it does now. >_<

hmm...bring the shadows under the folds in a little tighter and smooth out the highlights instead of having a hard white line...basically do with the white what you did with the blue and the other way around. Should look a bit more like fabric folds than gills when ya get done. Hope that helps.

Because the length of the fold is truncated it feels as though there is no reason for it to be there as that part should lay flat. I hope that made sense and is what you're looking for.

2 days should be good ^^, it's not like I have many things to do on the drawing xD (all that's left is the coloring of the guy, the background and if I have the time, I'll try to make it look better xD).

Just a reminder that there's only 13 hours left of the contest now. If you're still working on an entry, hurry! I'd also like to hear if there's anybody who'd really need an extension to the deadline. I was talking with one of the people helping me host the contest and he thinks the current deadline was too early. But I'm personally not sure... I'm worried people would get annoyed if the deadline fluctuates a lot. But anyway, if anyone's got any input feel free to let me know.

I, unfortunately, will not be finished before the contest ends- if it were extended, I'd be able to finish, but...
I think that at this point, further extensions might be unfair to people who have already submitted things early, seeing as they had less time to work with. If people who rushed to finish before this deadline are ok with an extension, then I'd love to have one. Otherwise, can't wait to see who wins! I'll still finish mine whether there is an extension or not, put too much work into it to just abandon the project- I have a feeling that even when its over people will still be posting them, just for fun

Well, as you can see, I really only have the top half of the girl colored ^^
But thanks, I'll submit what I have, better than nothing, right? The colors are all out of whack and I didn't finish the warriors face or hair and... you know what? I'll stop whining now Here is what I've got at the moment, at 40% resolution:As a note, the cloak on the elementalist was going to be colored to look like the night sky complete with glowing stars and stuff, because even though its cliche its also amazing and I wanted to see how it would look. I'd only just started laying in a background color on it- normally I never color things in one big block like that. On that note though, the only way I see myself finishing this in time is if I go the quick way and just use big blocks of somewhat shaded colors- I'll do that to make everything look less unfinished, and post it tomorrow morning. Thanks again for letting me sneak this in after the contest closed!
