exsample. i witnessed someone request a build template, then a week later i asked for a sword template for my war, i got referred to wiki, and people starting bashing on me for asking for a template. lol
i am not needy at all because i do not ask for advice or help on the game anymore and only ever asked a few times.
i come from a time when gamers took the time to explain things, they enjoyed helping, i was once one of those gamers. who worked hard to promote gaming and to support it back when being a gamer was looked down on by many. playing LOD i can not remember one time i heard someone say.
Go wiki it, or go to arreats and read.
shows the difference in the times. now a days i dont even have to talk to another player at all for any reason, i can hero/hench and use wiki (which is what i do) but i hate searching wiki. plus if i dont have tips on info, then i wont know to search for it at all. but players are to busy to offer tips. so i'v learned to do without.

And no, the community is not as bad as it seems. Do not throw the baby out with the bath water! |
about the community thing, iv seen people act their worst both in the game and on this forum, so as i always make sure to check the bathwater, its still dirty after bathing the child, so its gotta be tossed out. the baby is safe, in other words, not everyone sucks, but the vast majority do. they do not practice self control or manners most of the time. just sit in the main cities and ask basic questions, or make basic mistakes in a party to see.
outside of my good friend who came to gw from lod with me, i have met only two people in 25 months who i consider "friends" on gw. the other people i have had limited contact with that i found to be alright people are to preoccupied with other things to get to know well enough. plus they are no help, they are nice when they say "look on wiki" but thats about it. lol.
ps: this is not me QQing, just explaining my view, i have moved far beyond being bothered by it anymore, now i expect it. its commonplace in todays gaming community.
