You could summon him via an item much like the black moa chick quest; a box that requires materials to sacrifice to summon him. There would be a total boss npc limit of one of course, you can't have all party members summon eight Shiros. It could go something like 'sacrifice however many ectos anet deems appropriate to justify a boss npc summons'. As for the mention of Kilroy Stonekin, you could use the same item, but you must place for example, ten level 5 alcohols in there in order for him to show. What do you guys think?

Shiro Tagachi as a hero
Fear Me!
All the DOA quests regarding him show that he was a dedicated servant to the Canthan empire, and that it was his soul that was corrupted that made him the way he was; inspiration for this idea taken from the several npc dialogues from the quest 'A history of violence'. If I can enter a demonic domain and defeat a chained down god, surely, I can redeem Shiro's soul? I don't want him to have his boss skills, but merely want the opportunity to redeem him and have the option to join as a hero whatever-his-prof-is. It would be nice to redeem him and have him turned against Abaddon, or the remaining infrastructure. Why Shiro, and not Varesh or The lich? The npc dialogues from the aforementioned quest prove that he was a good person, and that his soul was corrupted by a demon, the others didn't need to be corrupted as they already were. Tragic heroes ftw.

So if you killed the demon which corrupted him, thus freeing him (assuming a spell), he would want to serve the Canthan Empire again? Would the Canthan empire want Shiro to help them?
It sort of makes sense, and there's alot more to it, but I don't think it'd work.

Nice Idea...
1 Problem hes a sin...
So we would gain another useless hero coz hero sin AI is flawed too much :P
Id luv it if they could fix the stupid sin AI (which i'd hope could be fixed first)

Free Runner
Making Shiro a hero would screw up the lore. His spirit was destroyed once and for all in the Realm of Torment meaning to bring him up as a hero Anet would have to create a whole new excuse as to why he is still around. Plus it would not make sense - why would Shiro fight alongside those who killed him not once but twice?.
There is also no need for another Assassin Hero.

I wouldnt use him even if you could, he killed my balding friend!

It would be nice to have 3 heroes of each type, but I don't think Shiro would be a good candidate for the 3rd sin.

/not signed as I dont see it working over all with the current story. and I think shiro is a prick. I do like the idea of redeeming someone and adding a new hero, just not him.
to the people hating on the sin AI, try crit/barrage. they use it pretty well. Of course its all they use pretty well but they can use it.

Sure! Why not! How about giving us Varesh and The Lich as heroes too?

There are a lot of other characters I'd like to see as heroes first. Shiro, with his unique skills, would be difficult to fit in.

My favorite boss as a hero? O.O I would love that!
But sadly, that won't be put in. And Free Runner, you sure his soul was destroyed? It never says that he was gone forever, so it would be easy to put him back in, same with the Lich and Varesh.
Before Shiro becomes a hero, I think Palawa Joko should replace Master of Whispers.

A second thought about NPC becoming heroes. The only NPCs that I see that could even work out with the current storyline is Devona, Mhenlo, Eve, Aiden, and Cynn becoming heroes. That of course won't happen but would be more likely then Shiro (or any other sarcastic additions to heroes) becoming a hero.
But like I said, isn't going to happen because anet would have to remove the hench versions, make every mission excluding the shing jea missions and the luxon missions a "Mhenlo must be in party" and remove the Mhenlo NPC in those missions, then remove some current heroes which are side heroes of the same profession so that there will only be 25 heroes. The heroes most likely to be removed would be Olias for Eve, Goren for Devona, no clue about Mhenlo, all 3 monk heroes deal with the storylines, Jin for Aiden, and Sousuke for Cynn. Again, that idea won't happen, but if any NPC becomes a hero, it should/would be those 5.

It would be nice to have another quests in the Heart of Abaddon.
After taking Razah, you can go back there to find the Envoys.
Then as in a 'trial by fire', you fight them to defend the cause of Varesh, Shiro, Rurik and other NPCs tainted and deceived by Abaddon's power.
Once defeated, The Vizier has to stay there for a while due to his sins, but the rest are free and can go to the Mysts...
...or maybe even follow you.

Razah was supposed to be an x/x profession hero that made it out of the Mists.
But then ANet failed.

While I have pretty much no opinion on the subject (Sin heroes are pretty bad IMO), it would be rather wierd to take Shiro in to fight himself in Imperial Sanctum or Gate of Madness.

Wow...that makes no sense at all. Even if Shiro was originally corrupted by Abaddon, the events of Factions and NF indicate that he is plenty evil on his own by this point. Killing random civilians and using them as your deformed servants is not cool man, nor is sucking the life energy out of someone so you can be mortal again. If he wanted to be redeemed, he would have just been a good little envoy like the others; but no, he wanted revenge and power.
And BTW, we kill the fortune teller demon who corrupted him...and then later fought him in Gate of Madness anyway. Seems like he was acting of his own free will at that point.

He was prideful, but not 'evil'.
Why was him in the Domain of Madness? When a spirit is corrupted it no longer chooses, it only... goes bananas.

Anyways, you'll probably won't get Shiro himself as he is when we fight him, just a 'weakened copy'.
The best example is Sarevok in Baldur's Gate II:Throne of Bhaal.
He is no loner what he was before, and you can even turn him into your alignment (I turned most evil party members into good or neutral ones while playing, XD)

I would have no problem with adding heroes to bring any groups with only two up to three - Mesmer, Ritualist, Assassin, Dervish, and Paragon. I'm not begging for this though, because as long as there are three Necros, I'm pretty much not inclined to use much else.
MagmaRed
Over a year between posts.... gotta love thread necros. I'd like an additional Mez, Sin, Rit, and Para hero, but not Shiro. Shiro is too involved in the story to make into a hero that makes any sense.
