bandana, destroyer gloves, etc for pvp

Has it been discussed somewhere? Anyway, I come here proposing that it would be really neat if bandanas, chaos gloves, destroyer gloves, and all the other GW:EN armor items accessable for pvp via RPs.

I have a strong feeling it'll happen because you can get anything in the game at the moment except everything in GW:EN.

Any evidence that it's most likely or inevitable?

Wouldn't hurt.... just adding a bunch of other skinned items to PvP. Maybe it would "promote" PvP better.

Need reasoning or your point is invalid and useless and thus do not have a strong arguement.

It's no different than allowing FoW armor as an unlock

very bad suggestion
for chaos gloves, destroyer gloves, bandana's, etc... players still have to farm to get them and just unlocking them with balthazar faction is just wrong against those who worked so hard to get it
just play PvP with a PvE char and you got your prestige armor (like i do)

Hmm, where's the prestige in FoW armor? pvp has that. And seriously, I'm so sick of people trying to claim things that's either pve or pvp. It's GUILD WARS.

You clearly don't know pvp then. You need reward points. And reward points aren't easy to come across. So, there is still prestige, but only reserved in pvp (because I can't take my pvp character anywhere else but pvp outposts) so I seriously don't see why people QQ about this.

PvE players also have to play PvP if they want a bambi or other emote. Imo you have to go play PvE if you want PvE stuff......even if you don't like PvE

Why? because I put the "common armor" under a different category then others. I put it under "PvE-only armor," until A.Net added the elite armor to pvp, I considered Elite armor as PvE-only armor, but now PvPers have elite armor and regular armor. Personally, I think A.Net should remove at least FoW armor from PvP, and then add in some armor only available to PvPers along with some PvP-only skills. Doing that will remove QQing from the PvPers, but add even more to the PvEers, sadly.

In short,
Common Armor=PvE-only armor
PvP should get PvP-only skills *nothing like ursan*
PvP should get PvP-only armor *alternate Elite armor?*
FoW *and maybe all Elite armor* should become PvE-only

It'd be a good idea. When they first did RP reward skins, see how many PvErs cried? And what happened? It was fine, you couldn't just run out and unlock FoW, because it's actually hard to do. Because of this, people didn't care/worry. Do the same with these weapons.

PvP is all ready screwing up PvP skill wise. If if its so freaking important to nerf every single useful skill to death, then I think they have enough. For some reason they gave them FoW, which I still disagree with.

As others have said, if you want the prestige items play a pve char and get them. I could give a steaming pile about having a bami emote, I dont play pvp. If wanted it I would play it. If you want the armor/weapons. Play PvE.

Thank you.

haha, I love how the majority of the people against this are those who are pve whhoring, who have grinded their way to getting their so-called *prestige* armor. Where do you grind reward points? If you can tell me, I would love to know so I can get to it (sarcasm for those ignorant about it). If anything, I think a pvper with FoW armor is more prestige than a pve'er because like one of you simply suggested.. just speed through pve and buy it. So if pve'er's arguement is about prestige and effort, then my effort in pvp to unlock it is far greater than your effort. So if anyone is QQing, it's the pve'ers.

pwnd imo.

unless i am wrong the only 2 places to get reward points in the house and HB.
Both of which many find un atractive for that kind of stuff. what irked me is that they made it available only for HB tounres and the house and not the other pvps which would have been better.
also onyx i know pvpers who QQ'd about it but for different reasons.

Stop crying and go away.

If you want PVE things (like GWEN armor) play PVE to get them.
If you want PVP things (emote) play PVP to get them.

Bah. I don't really care any more. I just find if funny how PvP-ers talk about how easy PvE(yes, it is) is yet they want 'easier' way to get them theirselfs.

Yep, you are wrong Mr.Pve. The third way is in gvg ATs.

But really, anyone could get the armor in pve faster than pvp so why is it such a big deal to pve'ers? It would be fun and a good motive to be able to use my reward points on IT rather than keys which goes back to pve and benefits you guys more. So maybe that's why pve'ers QQ so much about that...

ok so i was wrong but still this is a pointless idea that has been done about 50 million times already.

I always wondered about there being more ways to get it.

though my next question why do pvpers always want better looking armor?

Because what we have AVAILABLE to us is garbage. Why not give us something interesting. It'd been 2 years since pvp had seen something interesting with armor options while pve has had all the glory.

It is faster to get it in pve. You should get it in PVE and save the Devs some time and money. Why do you want to spend so much extra effort?

xd just make a pve PvP char and get the items that way. i still dont see a reason for this. but if it gets implemented then i might be interested HB
but till then these are kinda pointless ideas

I really don't see why not. Seriously, when RP armors were first introduced, it took like, 6 weeks, at least for the first person to get FoW armor. Obviously, stuff like Chaos Gloves and Bandanas would be Fancy Armors, and that takes a while to work up to. Much longer than it takes to get R5 Deldrimor and 10k.

There is no reason NOT to implement this.

Because not all of us find PvE "fun". And, maybe we want the Gloves on our PvP-Only character, which, in fact, cannot be taken into PvE.

Like i said before... PvE players also have to go to PvP (even if they don't like it), if they want a bambi or whatever...
Also.. when PvE'ers ask for an emote for the Kind of a Big Deal title track you see al the PvP'ers complaining

and THAT, my friend, is the price you pay for a PvP only character. My PvP only monk is far cheaper to equip, setup, etc, than my PvE monk. Everything cept skins is free. All of it. including just making new armour when my needs change.

now, my other monk has 3 sets of armour, and armour swaps within those armours. sum cost of armour, runes and dye having come to something in the lines of 200k. now, don't know if you ever venture out of PvP (i tend to do both, PvP and PVE) but getting 200k is NOT a fast nor easy thing to do.

so, in return for us getting max stats/easy unlocks/free armour and runes, we don't get the "elite" PvE armour - you know, the ones that require faction (reputation, whatever) to get. since it's impossible to accrue Norn/Deldrimor/Vangaurd/etc reputation in PvP, we can't get them - end of story.

now, IF you feel compelled to get the "elite" armours for your PvP chars - do what i did - take a char all the way through PvE, get the armours, THEN go PvP.

simply put - since it's IMPOSSIBLE for a PvP only char to meet the requirements of the "elite" armours, they don't get them. Hardened Excrement.

The difference being, if you want an HA emote, you can bring whatever character you want, and generally get fame pretty easily.

If I want to get Destroyer Gloves on my PvP-Only Mesmer, I cannot bring it to PvE to get them, it is not physically possible, no matter how hard I try.

I personally would rather not roll a PvE-only Mesmer, and then spend about 250k+ to get all my armours, weapon sets, elite and normal skills all over again just for some gloves.

Man, people find this like I shouted some sort of blasphemy. Jeez. Is it seriously SO bad to consider these armor pieces accessable with reward points, even though it's just as much effort?

I don't like pve. We all have done it at one point. Some enjoy it, others don't. There's a difference between getting armor and getting emotes. I certainly can't ask for a way to get r10 delver without pveing, so by no means can a pve'er get a bambi in pve o_O

If you don't wanna unlock them, fine. But why do the ones who do get left out? I don't see how everything is able to be unlocked but GW:EN items. It's only fair..
