This solves 2 problems I have seen
1: ANet failed to communicate well with its players because they tied Gaile's hands on what she could and could not tell us - preventing her from doing an effective job.
2: ANet's weakness has often been in the area of customer service. There Gaile always did an excellent job at stepping in and helping.
An excellent move, I believe, for her to move from job she could not do because they would not let her and into a role she has shown real strength and talent in.

Wow...I never thought the good times would end. Gaile, you've been an inspiration to many people over the years, and one of the most memorable parts of the Guild Wars developer-player relationship. I hope you enjoy your new job (liason is a cool-sounding word)! I don't think the new feller will ever compete with you. Especially if it's a guy. It just doesn't work then, I dunno why.
