I'm just another Joe to you all, but I got a heads up last night that something was going to happen that was going to cause the forums to explode. My contact refused to say what it was, but assured me that the timing was coincidental (and in my timezone, the announcement did arrive on April 1). I have a fairly good hunch that this may be it.

On Gaile's replacement: I can think of two people offhand who have some experience in the position. Maybe they'll both step up and share the workload and split it into two 40-hour blocks that mean they don't get burnt out.
