do you wish there were more armor sets?
Qual
Nahh there are enough. We just need helms for the paragons.
Shadowmere
I wouldn't demand more armor sets, (I'm an armor addict and it's murding my budget enough buiying so much prestige armor) but it would be cool to have some more, just like it'd be cool to have more weapons or faces for pc's.
As started previously though, I seriously think we need some robed caster armor...at the very least eles and necros deserve some wizard robes (or "dark" wizard robes).
That and the sets that are missing certain proffessions, namely Rt & A Primeval, and every other proffessions silver eagle set.

I have one panel in my storage filled with armors and one storage char filled with armors of some characters I hardly use...

Sure it couldn't hurt, but right now everyone cares about GW2. If you want to make an effective topic then you (OP) should say something more like. "Do you guys want more armor variety in GW2?"

I would like a completely differend approach for male monks. Only Primeval armor looks decent. For the rest male monks look ugly as hell in wide jackets and throusers, open sandals (feet - yough!) or kids boots. Male tattoos all look the same to me and seem to be inspired by a certain yearly parade in Amsterdam...
I'm happy my monk can use differend headgear and gloves. But PLEASE.... Make a new line of monk clothing like the Necro's or Eli's have!

would be nice if they hadnt just reskinned a bunch for eye....if they had gone to the trouble of actually making different sets that would have been nice (and making complete sets---just what they heck were they thinking with the dwarven stuff anyways???).
More armor----no, but BETTER choices (and yes for the later professions more armor-a/d/p/rt).....and some tats in factions for the monks would have been nice too see.

Nintendo always uses this quote: Quality over Quantity, while the original 6 classes have tons of armor most of them are Horrible IMO, and while the Sin, Derv, Rit, and Paragon lack armor because of when the classes were introduce, there Quality is better than the original 6 classes......... I hope GW2 has Quality sets over Quantity.
beregond
We have enough...it would be better if they didn't just reskin most of them though.

Yeah. And make each of them give different stats. Now that would be something worth grinding for, unlike a shitty title.

I do wish gw had a dragonscale armor set and a bladed/spiked armor set. I'd prefer having some customizable decals, or emblems we could place on our armor, sorta like cape symbols.

Or add options to the armors, like add-ons, especial effects , spikes , more dye options..etc. A variety of stuff to make it look more original .

I'm hoping that in GW2, they don't "stereotype" the armor so much for each of the professions.
For instance, I don't get why monks have such plain armor. Of all the monk female armor, only the Woven Armor style allows you to wear a skirt (unless you count tattoo armor, which I barely consider "clothes"). If the monks in GW were bare-handed martial artists like other games then I can understand, but GW doesn't follow any of that. There's no indication that monks in GW belong to any kind of religious group or even attend a monastery. I'm surprised that there's not a more variety, like knee-length skirts or robes that they can wear.
Even elementalists have a bit less stereotyping in the game. For instance, you don't have to make your female elementalist look like a cheap tramp if you so choose. There are more conservative armor sets out there in the game.

Also, tattoos that can be seen on monks with hair would be nice too.

maybe a monk 15k armour set that I like, but other than that, no. I think there are quite enough to choose from for all proffs.

do I wish there were more armor sets...
OH HELL NO!

Nah we dont need more armors imo

Like the possibility of Dervishes having Luxon/Kurz/Canthan/Prophecies armor. I know it doesn't fit with the lore but I'm not really the one who cares for the lore so... suggestion that's been suggested over and over again, but will never be implemented. |

I can see it now. Elite PvP teams sponsored by Google!

Hmm. I like armour. I like variety. Would love more armour Would love somewhere to store it too
garethporlest18
Well I wouldn't mind another 5 armor sets for each class, with armor storage and another 5 weapon skins for each type of weapon.
zeekay
Would like to see festive armors .. some zero armor fun clothing .. like beach or clubbing wear
pamelf
i'd love more armour sets. I don't go for the "combine armour" arguments, because frankly most armour combos just look fugly. They weren't designed to be combinable. They dye differently, and texture differently. I play this game because of the way it looks largely, and that includes the way my character looks. More ways to make them look pretty gets my vote.
Ysabeth Noirelune
I'd like to, but honestly we have enough. It's a problem of character customisation, really. Armors are not the only way to make a character stand out. You have to think about their look and weapons, too.
You'd think a dervish has few ways to be original, but I met a female dervish with pink jeweled hair who choose a nice mix of pale pink vabbian skirt, white vabbian bra and elite black sunspear gloves. The effect was lovely, and stunning.
Just don't go for the black obsidian warrior with fellblade and glowy see-through pink shield of poor taste and you'll be fine.

I think a few of the classes could use some more choices (sins and sunspear armour) but not new for every class. I would like to see more variants and other itmes such as rings/amulets that would offer some kind of buff. I would also like to have all classes be able to get tattoos for their armour sets I think you could really come up with some cool looking toons with that capability and would provide not only armour stats but a unique appearance. .
Whisper Evenstar
I am happy with the number of sets, but I do wish there was more variety. The ability to dye 2 levels on each pc would be nice (ie choose various shades of brown/black/yellow/white for the leather in rgr armor in addtion to adding dye color). The main shortcomings I see are:
Warr - too much dull grey on most sets makes adding colors appear harsh and too starkly contrasted. If the colored bits were more intricate and dulled in appearance, they would blend into the armor patterns better.
Rgr - OMG - this is the worst class - BROWN BROWN BROWN and too many freaking trenchcoats. I don't want my rgr to get on the watch list for school shootings.
Monks - 2nd worst IMO. Most sets look like a potato sack and the dye doesnt apply to most of it, which is always disappointing to me.
Sins - most are too spiky for me... do I have to have knives sticking out all over me to be cool looking? Agree with above poster that Anton's set rocks... would make for nice variety of Vanguard set was like that
Rits - have too much brown for my taste
Paragon - OMG, I hope you like white bc its your only choice...
etc
I'll end the examples here, but I am massively in favor of more variety within a class and more customization in coloring to make armor better in GW2.

Aera
There's quite a variety of choices, but a few more wouldn't hurt. It's not like it'll make me a happier person.
makosi
Makes no difference to me since I'm having trouble storing all the armour sets I have already. More variety would be good but for well-established players, there's nowhere to put it all.
lietzaum
for most armors it is fine but i would like to have different ele armor that does not LOOK like she came from a stripper club
Konrow
More armors couldn't hurt. We already have a ton tho. If anything, going back to prophecies and getting sin/derv/para/rit armors in there might be cool.
Tyla
I'm not arsed.
Horus
since they added spear and scythe to cantha(celemonial and draconic), why not also add armors for these 2 profession to cantha?
KiyaKoreena
I dont want more armor sets to choose from right now, I want armor storage (other than mule accounts) for all that I have.
Ama Seraphim
so has anyone seen the new paragon/derv armor that is supposedly added to divine path?
Ekelon
I wish there were enough armor sets to where you couldn't own them all... I don't like the feeling of owning every armor set possible and not having anymore options.
