People who think that adults are somehow more enjoyable to play with than teenagers. For the most part I hate most other players, but at least teenagers have less of a tendency to be pricks about every damn thing you do, and at least some of them have a sense of humour.

Minipets, and how there is absolutely no use whatsoever for them, aside from cosmetic.

Age-discriminate adults who stereotype all 14 year olds as being ignorant perverted whiners because they consider RuneScape a good example of a player base.

The most disapointing thing for me is that when i bought GW is was the most unique mmo that i had ever seen. I loved Anets philosophy of skill>grind. The thing that disapoints me is that now the game that i play wasnt the game that i had originally bought.
Now even if i wanted to get into an ursanway group for DoA i cant because it goes something like this...
Me:urs lfg for doa
P1: show norn title
Me:*shows title*
P1: sorry r5 isnt high enough.
I dont have the time nor the patience to mindlessly farm for rep points. So essentially i CANNOT play that part of the game. This is what anet said would NOT happen with their game. I bought GW because i was was under the impression that this WOULDNT happen. Guess i was wrong.

The most annoying thing about GW is the high rate of incompetence. Not idiocy, incompetence, where people refuse to listen to better judgment. It's higher in GW than in any other online game I have played. (including any Xbox Live game and WoW)

The addition of closed gates (factions) took away some of my GW-pleasure. I just want to roam freely through the country side. As soon as I end up in areas I shouldn't supposed to be yet, I'd get utterly obliberated by those lvl 20+ monsters anyways.

They are the best healers of all the classes, and how does that not make sense? While you're at it, you may as well kill off paragons, a bunch of rit skills, some dervish ones too, even some necro skills (forgive if theres some I didn't mention?) and of course every self-healing skill any class has.
Them looking stupid is all objective. In my opinion they look awesome (not a fan of FoW armor, but still) especially with a good caster sword or a black voltaic and a torm shield and some good armor (Dwarven, Elite Kurzick imo)
But your opinion is valued, thank you

concept =/= mechanic
There's nothing wrong with the healer role (mechanic).
But the monk in GW is not really a monk (i'm talking about the word).
A monk isn't supposed to heal you, instead he'd make you capable of healing yourself. If you want to put it in game terms, he'd boost your healing skills, making you heal yourself more effectively. Being a monk is about SELF perfection of body and mind, and not other's.
But seriously, i don't want to take this discussion in this direction, as its not appropriate here.
Just start counting the number of monks you see with the same hairstyle. I could say, among the female chars, at least 80% use the same. Which is (for me and for those people) the least stupid looking hair style.
Why do we get to play monks without neck (male), ape like body, and well, stupid , while on the other hand, Mehnlo uses the body type of a ranger? From that you can notice how even Anet thinks they look stupid.

PvPwise - Massive disadvantage at entry level, necessity for people to steal builds or get steamrolled.
PVE - Neither has a persistently changing world for lvl 20, or player driven intrigue. It's basically not taking advantage of the online format in a way that pushes the fun gameplay envelope.

The end of Prophecies. Seriously, first time I played through it I was like "Wait, that's it?"
I waited half an hour for something else to happen.

And the community is disappointing. Ties with what I've said in my previous post - the rude and immature a-holes, the scammers, the elitists, the PvE/PvP separation, title/fame requirements made by the community itself...

I agree with many posts saying that GW has become more and more a "grind" game. Titles are mainly what has driven this I think, because once the PvE game itself is exhausted people turn to prestige, which means maxed titles and expensive stuff. And more maxed titles = another title So people just want to farm points, and faction, and buy stuff (like alcohol and Party Points). I think one big mistake is the r5 requirement on EotN armors which, although yes, it means people have a bit of something to work for, it also adds to the incessant grind culture evolving rapidly. Same thing with Ursan, everyone HAS to go and be r10 to be in the ever more exclusive parties for elite areas, meaning the only way to get there is grind, grind, grind.

its so funny how people play this game for nearly three years and QQ endlessly on a forum made by fans dedicated to it.

In game plot and mechanics, I would say that The factions forced blind partnership missions really turned me off the game for a long time. I walked away from Factions for ovr 8 months just because of that annoyance. It was a hassle in Vizunah to find a group that was coherant and luck into a second group that had any sort of balance. But without it, you could not play 80% of the game.
As for the player base, the following things disappoint me regularly.
-The primary response to any perceived slight being insults and threats. I've been called things in game over clarifying an asking price for dye that I've seen guys get hospitalized for saying in real life. Yet everyone seems to accept this in game. (I can't even type on this forum what I got told to do for asking a player to use the trade channel yesterday)
- Complaints about festival prizes and gifts. It's just supposed to be a little extra for you to enjoy, It was not meant to be a commodity to make you a million gold in a weekend. Take it for what it is.
- The "you must have build X" mentality. I don't care which build it is, there is more than one way to play every part of this game. What works for one may not for another and we all find our own way of doing things. If you worry about you and let me worry about me, we will get things done.
- Being scolded for my build, gear, etc. after accepting a blind invite with no explanation of what we were doing. This one happens more when I'm playing my monk. I pop into town to merch the inventory and there is an invite and the only explanation I get is "accept" Then we are out the door and into a mission or quest and I get yelled at for having my solo smite farm loaded. Nobody asked if I was set to protect or heal but I'm a noob for not having the wiki build for monks.
THE FOLLOWING THINGS HAVE THRILLED ME:
-THK Monks strike. hilarious event.
- courtesy and friendship in certain districts of LA during wintersday. particularly folks sharing spots for gift drops when it was a bit too crowded.
- A player I helped out 2 years ago by giving him some max gear, mats and cash for his first post armor. Same player randomly ran into me on a different account in pre about 7 months ago and offered me a ton of stuff because someone had done it for him (he had no idea who I was at the time and had been doing this for lots of folks)
- the people that have begun doing things in towns and outposts that don't have anything to do with game play but add to the cultural experience of being in the game. I've run into a couple of storytellers, a runner that actually does a "guided tour" and describes the terrain features as they go, the various guilds that sponsor districts for new years, the esoteric collectors of stuff that has no real use (like red flowers), and even a comedy act.

I dont need a single monk to succeed in GW. I prefer not to use them now wherever possible (mostly in cantha) for the fun off it. On HM yes.
