Can you beat Nightfall without choosing a secondary class?

Not using a secondary class' skill is reasonable in many builds. Not having a secondary makes you look noob.

Don't forget that you can still use other professions skills before taking a secondary. Foo has a para without secondary that runs SY.

Prophecies:
you can't leave Pre-Searing without choosing a secondary profession
Factions:
you can't get the quest leading to Minister Cho's estate without choosing a secondary profession
Nightfall:
you can't get that quest that gives you Dunkoro without choosing a secondary profession.
conclusion: no you can't... choosing your secondary is a must inorder to continue the story line and move to a different continent. also, if you have trouble choosing just choose something. it's not that important and you can always change it later in the campaign...
actually, since you're at kamadan before choosing a secondary you can get ferried to the docks and from there to Tyria/Cantha still without a secondary profession. so technically you can beat Prophecies and Factions without a secondary if you start in Elona but there is no way to beat Nightfall without a secondary profession.

Couldn't you get TP'd to Consulate Docks and then have someone else use their Dunkoro hero per the requirement?

Yes. You can get this with Ursan and it will still be noob.

I have a friend that got his NF monk legendary survivor without a secondary, but that was about it.
He got ferried to the docks, than to cantha, than did quests to get to lvl 10, than got into gwen, than got a run to gunnars hold, and did fronis irontoe until he got his title. but when he got back into nf, he couldnt progress until he chose his secondary.
