If you somehow lost all your characters...

I would probably just uninstall, and wait for GW2.
I have invested two and a half years into this game, i could not / would not be arsed to re-do it all again even on one character.

This actually happened to my Guild Leader recently, it actually got him back into the game since he only has one character now. Myself I'd probably take a week or so off from the game and then restart my mes, it's really just to much fun to play not to rebuild.

Dispite owning the game for over a year, I havn't invested anywhere near as much time or effort into the game as most of you have and have made and deleted loads on the way.

First thing to do is change password and maybe even the email if someone as them details and then probely make another character, one question though is if you have 0 characters are you still in your guild or will you need a reinvite with your first?

I wouldnt have any reason to return to GW except to chat to my guild / alliance.

I have put far too much effort and devotion into my main character (elly) and also into my secondary character (monk) to lose them now.

I am not one that enjoys playing the game over again, I have already tried to on a mesmer and gave up fast with boredom.

I actually lost my 32 month old account due to a ban happy gm. Started over and having even more fun than before.

Odds are I'd stop playing, or at least take a very long break. Don't think I'd have the motivation to restart everything I worked on the past two years from scratch. If I came back afterwards I'd probably remake my Ranger the exact same way he is/was. I can't see myself starting a new profession that I'm not as good at playing, or don't enjoy playing as much.

I'll remake them the same.
I chose the best hair and face of each proffesion.

I would quit GW forever and never pick up GW2.

I'd remake my main (Warrior) and my 2nd main (monk) but otherwise I would just leave them open as pvp slots.

Lol Atm making new monk i wanted make new but didnt want delete old so i deleted my ritu So if id lose all id probably make first nec (main) then monk (another main) then sin and rest id make if i got time

I'd have to think about it for a while. Nine level 20 characters with elite armor. My ritualist with ten titles maxed, and close to getting several more, four sets of armor in HoM, black moa chick, and all the time I've put in.

Should I start again, or just wait for GW2? It would take me a while to decide. If I did start again it would definately be a ritualist.

I'd have a hard time choosing if I quit the game or not, first. If I wouldn't quit, I'd remake my necro the same... but it wouldn't feel the same >_<. Then I'd get used to it and would work even more on my titles >_>.

Personally, I wouldnt even remake them. The time, the effort, the hours spent. I would not go through that again. If I for some reason did, though, I'd remake my main exactly as she is now.

I'd spend time getting better at CoD4, and wait for WAR and GW2. No way I'd remake, too much time spent.

If it happened to everyone at once:

I'd quickly start all my "new" characters with the names I like that are currently taken.

Already happened to me, lost all my characters in May 2007.
Remade them all (well..most), totally loving it actually.

Oh, when I found my account in tatters I did cry, but luckily that day I was heading off to Fiji for 2 weeks, gave me time to think things over.
Never looked back since.

if I lost all 58 characters? probably go play a different game until GW2 game out.
