So many ppl are saying quit, which would be a serious choice for me aswell, however I do love the game and I think restarting from scratch would give me an opportunity to relearn how to play my main, and be similar to presear AKA Gw in its purest form.
In short, I think it would be good because it would remind you that gw isn't about all the fow armor/tormented weps/mini pets and stuff you accumulate, but the enjoyment and skill you get from playing.
Of course, I would just quit cause seriously, id just blame anet for letting it happen :P

My current main is my ele but now I've discovered the leetness of the paragon, it's too late to turn back on my ele after I maxed like 9 titles though. So I'd probably create a para.

It took me getting 4 other char/s to level 20 before I created my Necro. Now that I have her, I 've played her for thousands of hours. Maxed 9 titles and working on more. If she went away....I would be so pissed!!!!!!!!! But, I have been kinda wanting to play an ele, I made one, played a couple days then she became a mule just like the other 7 diff prof I have made, lol. I would probalby have to give up the game since I get so much grief from hubby about play time. If my necro went away I'd have no real reason to keep playing since my title hunting would be gone and who in their right minds would SCRAPE all three continents again???

If I didn't just quit (and cry and mope) I'd go with making my main a paragon. I figure it'll be easiest to steamroll through the campaigns and get my titles back up.

If I lost all of them, I'd recreate them exactly like they were, except that they will be younger lol (of course it will annoy me at first, but hey I x3 armors and my chars xD).
I'd also do that, but first I'll make them suffer a bit. If I want my vengeance, quick death will be too soft lol. (It's evil I know, but hey, don't hack me lol).

If that happened... I'd stop playing. It's quite simple. I've invested thousands of hours into my characters. Attained titles, and money, and weapons. If I lost all that, why bother recreating something so extensive. I'd wait till GW2.

My option isn't there- don't really have a main character. I play all 10 depending on mood (except the monk, who gets ignored mostly). Unless my wifes' account was also wiped, I would still play; would recreate some characters, change others. Would probably try PvP more now that I have a system fast enough to do it.
It wouldn't be the first time starting a game all over from scratch. After all, I still play Diablo LOD in hardcore ;-> But I would be a lot more likely to cherry-pick what I did with each character - doubt if I would be willing to grind all 4 games again with each character.

I'd either stop playing Guild Wars or restart with a Paragon. I wouldn't call him my main character, since my Mesmer was the first Character i could call a "Main Character" and that i loved to play with / that i still love to play with.

But i think i'd play some time World of Warcraft until GW2 comes out and then start it, trying to be the first reaching great things (like the first guy with fow in GW etc.)

Whatever, there was a bug during the eotn preview weekend that happened to me; was teleporting to eotn when instead of loading the outpost, the game brought me to the character selection screen; the thing is that instead of 11 slots I had 4, and all of them were empty. My face was like this: ._.
Then I shutted down GW and reopened it just to check if it was all back to normal; it was, but if it wasn't I would have just said good bye to gw. Oh maybe I could sell my account on ebay, some cash income or whatever...

I had lost an entire account before, and I quit GW because of it. However, a new campaign came out within a few months, so I decided to pick that up and be a financially-noobish veteran. My new main character wasn't the same profession as my last because of the new ones I could play. If I were to lose my account again, and couldn't get it back because I didn't have the serial keys, then I'd quit GW. If I managed to get it back but had my characters disappear, then I'd still quit GW.

I don't think I could ever start all over again in a serious way so maybe break out and download some bot programs and see if i could get rich or all the accounts banned or stolen as well..
