Do You Customize?
imnotyourmother
Well I am looking to get a max damage sword in pre-searing Ascalon for 35 Black dye at a cost of 6,500 gold for each one. That is almost 230K in pre-searing that is a LOT of Gold. If I customize itthen I run the rist of breaking it to sell the mods and the sword 12-16 worth 100K is junk for anyone other than me.
So no I do not customize Awesome weapons and stuff. In Post I crafted my sword and customized it. After all who wants a norn sword req9 anyway?

If I can put the required amount of attribute points in it, then yes, but why customize a caster sword/spear? 20% more of 1 isn't enough.
bodyboarder
i customize anything i wnt to keep...dnt custo wands/staffs though...wish we could custo shields
flipfly2004
i only customize rare melee weps so i wont even think of reselling them

2. Huh? you run the risk of breaking it to sell the mods if its uncustomised too.
Yang Whirlwind
I only customize "farm tools" - low cost specialized items I can afford to lose the value of.
Xunlai Guru Agent
I customize whatever I use/like .
chris1234565
i customed a r10 obby edge before so i guess custom lol
Courage!
i don't think customizing is that worthwhile, i got a ele sword back in the days without ursan and when it was rare and could have sold it 100k+100e accidentally customized it. after that i have never custamized an item
Fallen SeraphiM
i just got few req 10+ perfect weapons, nothing special, that are customised for my main chars, other than that-nothing.I see no point in customising rare weapons
illidan009
My first character(warrior) has 2 customized swords, and that was b/c I didn't know/realize I could/should sell these pretty looking gold thingies. None of my weapons have been customized since.

Honestly, the only max sword worth talking about in pre-searing is a glacial blade. I guess if you can't get that, then...

Never customize weapons. Not even my ranger, warrior or assassin weapons.
Thinking of Customizing my Murakai Axe though. Since it's not worth anything and probably wont rise in value.
But it matches with my warriors armor so I'll keep it
And becaue it's hawt

Customize all melee weapons, wands, and staves. That includes my slew of R7 Swords.
Because GW is about killing, and max damage swords kill faster.

I customize every day, all day, until the end of days. If I intend to use it.

I custimize just about everything.. thats not worth more then 100k. exception for my tormented recurve which i custimizied. but i leave my 2 Obsidian edges + voltiac spear uncustimized so i can swap it around between my characters. and yes i think that the 20% is defiently worth it.. unless u dont PvP much
Ben-A-BoO
I customize every weapon that I am gonna use in game, be it pvp or pve, and yes, that includes wands and staves.
That's from day one and I never did regret it once ... including the two req 8's I got.
For others ... In pve I don't mind ... everyone who does PvP with uncustomized weapons (and yes that includes wand damage) is a moron in my eyes.

I laugh at people of the same proffesion with the same build doing loads less damage than me with their flashy weapons =)
Qual
It's fail not to customize!
??iljo
customized weaps for my war and ragos flame staff for my ele coz i was feeling stupid that day :S
Chronos the Defiler
I get the skin I want, mods I want then customize it...since its the weapon I wanted to begin with, I have no intention of selling it so I customize them for my PvE war for PvP purposes.
The only weapon on my warrior that I have not customized but still use on occasion is my R.8 un-inscribable perfect longsword -.-

Damn, I've been playing it wrong for 2 and a half years T_T
Accursed
When I had my old ranger I used to customize, but now that I have a new character I'll start to customize once I get some decent req. 8 daggers.

Why is the word "weapons" bolded and red in every post?
Avarre: You searched for the keyword "weapons", I'd imagine.

In PvP I use a customized set on my pve characters. In PvE I don't.
Xunlai Guru Agent
I mainly customize my warrior, ranger & dervish weapons but not the casters, because I fail to see the point in doing so. >>
germanturkey
i don't bother customizing spellcaster weapons because i don't pvp much. i customized my bows for my ranger, but i wouldn't think about customizing my 3 vs's
PuppyEater
Haxor
For PvE? No. I'd rather have the ability to resell or swap my weapons between characters if need be (excluding the tormented/destroyer weps in my HoM). For PvP, I have PvP chars. So yes, they are customized.
jaximus
i customize every physical wep i have, not like you can have too many weps right? if i feel the skin is out of date, then it becomes one of the elements i dont already have. i dont custo wands/caster stuff cuz i use them to break reversal of fortune, so clearly i dont want the damage boost. even though its like +2-5, pro wandage yo. i lol'd when i saw someone say they noticed the damage lack on the fancy wepped guy with the same build. i do that all the time in pvp, you clearly can tell whos custo and whos not, (i monk so its even more obvious to me)

PvE is persistent.
Meaning that for every area there is EXACTLY one team build that works best.
In 8 man areas that means that two classes are out by default.
And then a bunch of others classes drop out also because one is not limited to having just one party member of each class in the party.
If one chooses to play those classes (the ones that are left out) - then based on your definition - one is retarded.
If one does not play the specific build (not only team but also class build) - one is retarded also.
Running non-customized weapons is sub-optimal.
In PvE - that isn't an issue. PvE not only allows that - but it's actually designed for that.
In PvP on the other hand one should be running around with the best possible gear.
Which means EVERYTHING should be customized.
And maxed.
And if one can not afford that - one should be running PvP-only guys.
