For example:

"Go get him, Tiger!" = Next pet attack deals +10 damage
"Go for the Legs!" = Next pet attack inflicts cripple for 5 seconds
"Bite him! Bite him!" = Next pet attack inflicts deep wound for 5 seconds
"Bring him down!" = Next pet attack knocks foe down.

Have each random shout active on the pet for 3 seconds...

The idea in the OP sounds messy and unnecessary.
"Go for the Balls!" next pet attack cripples that foe for 20 seconds, but shout or chant use by that foe have double the range of earshot.

so say i ran into a pig and then i would use the animal speak skill and a box would appear with options to talk to the animal and you'd have to chose an option depending on the animals mood it will attack you, make friends with you or bite you then run away

So 3 options appear when you use animal speak on an animal

[ ] Hello wild animal you look very happy today, lets be friends

[ ] Hello there follow me and i'll feed you some bacon

[ ] COME WITH ME If you want to live Savage beast
Are you serious?

Brillant idea, well thought out, and has an important role in the games story, playthrough, and balance.

Try playing Guild Wars, and not Animal Crossing next time.

I could go for this idea for GW2

You could ask "Intelligent" animals about the region they are in asking what they had seen recently.

A worm might not have much relevant information but more advanced or magical creatures might.

Talking to hostile creatures could be allowed but there would have to be limitations so it couldn't be used to easily bypass or kill those creatures.

Fine, screw over those rangers who enjoy having their endangered stalkers.

You are really looking for a D&D style play. It would have to have a quest based them Like go talk to some rabbits about the monster that destroyed there home. Follow the rabbits an aid in there quest. Follow me etc... Would be like having Gwen walk behind you in pre-searing doing nothing. Mini pets are another follower that does absolutely nothing.

People talk to animals in this world all the time, I think the point was to have a reply ?

Its better than talking to the players in a pug.

At present, none of the charmable animals have a reason/basis for speaking. Their evolution doesn't call for it and neither do they possess magical abilities. If they were to become more sentient, then I would expect them not to be charmable animals/pets anymore.

You can always talk to animals, that's quite normal. Some of them might even listen. Some of them might even understand what you say. You should only start worrying if they talk back

I got a suggestion, and I think about 90% of people on guru who looks at Sardelac will agree with this...

Ban Solange from posting in Sardelac, all of his ideas are just... bad.

But I suppose there is a reason why it is called "Sardelac Sanitarium."

I love this thread xD, there's so many good posts lol.

Anyway /notsigned, as funny as feeding a pig with bacon while using ''Vocal was Dr. Doolittle'', it would be a little too "strange".
