"God walking amongst mere mortals"
Double D.
HI Guys,
Basically i feel that players who are trurly dedicated to the game are not rewarded enough for the time and effort they put into the game.
Prestigious titles are, of course, awesome.....
But, when you have reached the " god walking amongst mere mortals title" (30 max titles) you only get a title.
I think that Arenanet should introduce a new set of PVE only skills using the "kind of a big deal" title track as the attributes. I feel these skills are well over due and would add a new incentive for people to "chase titles".
Please post all your thoughts and ideas regarding my suggestion and if you are in a position to do something about this......PLEASE DO SO
Thanks guys, DD

If only titles ment something.
Other than swinging your e-peen.
Edit -- Oh yeah, PvE-only skills, the game needs more of them guys doesn't it?

I don't think it should be a skill, more like a bonus such as Heart of the Norn from Norn Title Track

The entire premise of GW is to reward skill, not time spent. Anet is already departing from this with their damnable PvE skills, but that's no reason to slip further into the quagmire.
I would, however, like them to put in another tier for KoBD, since more than 30 maxed titles is not only possible, but feasible.

Titles were bad, this is even worse.
GW was suppose to be unlike any game out, it's now slowly degrading into a bad MMO.

No.
Maybe something like a gift(xD) or something like that, but not something that affects the gameplay.

I was thinking about something like this:
every tier you get into the title track, you gain an extra 5 armor for casters, and an extra 2 energy for melee attackers... ?

Grinding should not give you extra benefits. The PvE skills were bad enough, lets not add crap like this.

How about you get big, fat nothing?
Behold ANet- you've spoiled your own kids.
N1ghtstalker
they actually do give you something
they give you ... a rainbow phoenix
a pet that is at lvl 20 even bigger then it's masters
case closed you got something can this get closed now?

If you want stuff like this, P2P MMO's are the way to go.

I think I deserve a pony for GWAMM. A pink one. Right?
Seriously... even with having the title /unsigned

I strongly disagree with the extra PvE skills. ANet went against their 'skill, not hours played' thing when they gave advantages to players who could grind titles more.

However, if there was a reward for the title track I think it should be something like an emote. Much like the hero title track. Obviously, they would be different emotes than the hero title track, but you get the idea. Every time you max 5 titles you get a new emote (so one for each rank in KoaBD title track).

Chronos the Defiler
anyone who reached God walking amongst mere mortals should get a toggle able option that makes them glow and be on fire at all times, in explorables and towns, but not usable in PvP (may confuse monks)
Something similar to the enchantment you get when you head into Augery Rock, you get lit by blue fire etc.

Signet with no casting time.
30 second recharge.
For 20 seconds, whenever you have the God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals titles on, all damage done to you and your allies is reduced by 80%. You lose 8% health and 2% energy every time an ally who has no title on gets affected.

I propose for these skills to be added to the KoaBD title track:
Omega splinter weapon:
Weapon Spell. For 20...100 seconds, target ally has an Omega Splinter Weapon. Target ally's next 5...25 attacks deal 10...100 damage to up to 8 foes in earshot.
cost: 5 energy, 1/4 cast, 3 recharge
"Save all of ourselves!"
Shout. For 9...18 seconds, all party members and allies are healed for 100...200 health and gain 50...100 armor. You gain 4 strikes of adrenaline.
cost: 6 adrenaline
Seed of gods:
Enchantment Spell. For 2...10 seconds, whenever target ally takes damage, all party members are healed for 2...4 Health for each rank in Divine Favor.
cost: 5 energy, 1/4 cast, 5 recharge
Quadruple chop:
Melee Attack. Attack target foe and all foes in the area. Each attack that hits deals +20...80 damage.
cost: 5 energy, 2 recharge

We don't need another skill for it. Maybe an emote, or a white aura in town or something, but no more eliteist skills.

How about a special emote? Like, your guy starts celebrating, realizes how much time he's wasted, and then looks sad?
I think that would be kinda cool.

I agree with the special emote thing the gwamm ppl should get a lil something that makes them stand out(other than the title below that toon). but not/no more PvE skills
Koricen
The only thing you should get for having the GWAMM title is a sign over your head that says "I need a life."
Miska Bow
here's some skill this title track could have:
Warrior
''I am leet!'': Shout. For 10 sec all foes are interupted, fall on their knees and venerate you while you do the Wammo dance.
Ranger
Look at me.: Nature ritual.Create a level 1...8...10 Spirit. Non-Spirit creatures can obtain a free autographed picture of you for the next 25...60...90 sec.

You get the Rainbow Pheonix. That's enough.
Phineas
Anyone with GWAMM should be twice the size of 'Mere Mortals' and should have an in-town skill available to them that allows them to kill off any mini-pet belonging to a mortal in one of several interesting ways.

I think giving them a technical advantage is unfair and doesn't fit with Guild Wars. That being said, I do think they should get some type of special recognition other then the title. Possibly new prestige armor or weapons that don't cost anything but the title "God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals"?

I propose that we don't actualy give any additional benefit for the KoaBD track, but rather a functionality change of title effects.
When you switch the title on, instead of having the little icon describing your current title's effects like the rep title's (Edification, Stout-Hearted, Rebel Yell, etc...), you'd be under the effect of:
[Insert name of your current KoaBD level here]
"While displaying your KoaBD title, all your reputation based effects are currently active."
This would remove the hassle of swapping between each title to recieve each effect, and save people from accidently "forgetting" important titles, such as lb in RoT. This would in no way be over powered, as the effects would have very minimal overlap (norn+ebon could be useful for Blood Washes Blood, and deld+asuran could help someone attempting G.O.L.E.M., but none of these are game breaking) and would provide a handy feature to anyone willing to invest the day or two to hammer out atleast 5 max titles.
IMO, this would be the best possible reward for those attempting the KoaBD track as it's not imbalanced, provides no visual benefit over others (rank emotes), and is surprisingly useful.

There should be cake.

GWAMM deserves some kind of visual bonus so that you can show your having 30 titles, and still show off your favorite one, or a useful one.
But nothing should be linked to it, no, no, no.

Probably the best idea ever. /signed on that.
