Un-dedicate mini pets
Tender Wolf
Ever want to sell a mini pet but it's dedicated at your Hall of Monuments? Sure you can still sell them, but you probably won't get as much for it. And some people prefer non-dedicated minis.
This idea came to me when my guild was holding a raffle and winners got mini pets, but they were already dedicated to a HOM.
I think that, for a fee, you should be able to un-dedicate mini pets. And, while we're at it, un-customize weapons. What does everyone else think?

Don't want your minipet dedicated? Don't put it in your hall of monuments. Don't want your weapon customized? Don't customize it.
We don't need to be able to un-dedicate/customize. If you think you're going to want to sell your mini pet/weapon, then keep it as it is. It's as simple as that.

I think the three warning screens or so you get WARNING you what will happen when you dedicate something to a monument should be enough.

Free Monuments of Devotion and Valor for everyone right?
Dedicate/customize serve a purpose and unless the fee is the same as the cost of a mini Polar Bear, you should not be allowed to reverse it.

Dedicate:
To commit (oneself) to a particular course of thought or action.

It's been suggested a LOT of time... and each action has consequences (think before dedicating/customizing).

Do you know WHY things are dedicated/customized?
Do you know WHY things are dedicated/customized?

No, why? Because then people would dedicate, undedicate, sell, and still have those minipets in their HoM. The only way this can be a good thing is if you can remove the minipet from your HoM. And if that is what this idea is changed to, then it must be that you have to have the mini pet you dedicated in your inventory, so that you cannot simply buy another mini pet of the same kind, dedicate it on another character, undedicate it on your first character, then sell.
Although an idea that would be loved by the poor, it is just poorly thought out. If you want to not get flamed to death like Solange, I suggest thinking through and not posting half-a$$ed ideas. Not to be insulting or anything but its the truth, and truth hurts.

What this thread tells me:
Buy a Mini Kuunavang, Mini Gwen and Mini Destroyer Dedicated, then undedicate them by whatever means, and enjoy the overflow of gold by reselling them.

GW already has the most forgiving system of any game of its type. You can restructure skill tree at any time. You can change secondaries. You can map anywhere.
Having one or two things like customization and dedicated mini-pets doesn't destroy the game.

Dedication and customization should not be undone. Then people can easily buy them for cheap and undedicate/uncustomize and sell for higher.

While everyone else is thinking of reselling their minipets, I'm thinking dedicate, then undedicate and trade for a different mini. Or trade with guildies until everyone in the guild has all the minipets in their halls. Completely filling my minipet monument on all my characters forever and ever and ever.
/unsigned.
It would completely demolish the point of even having minipets in your Hall of Monuments.

It's still not sign worthy.

it pains my heart to see mini's get dedicated as i love to keep them as they are
but if a mallyx is around 100k and 20e
and you can unded it for 20k (ded is 80k) you can still make a huge profit
once it's ded it stays ded

The rare minipets wont be as worth as much anymore if you start doing that.

To Tenderwolf, I will not flame you like the rest of the board. While I see where you are going with the idea, as you can see, it would cause problems with people dedicating minis selling then the other person dedicating blah blah freaking blah. Of course I thought you meant that if it was undedicated then said person loses it from the HoM. So its no longer theirs at all. They cant go "check out my cool ass mallyx mini in HoM!" Maybe I misunderstood.
so if you mean they get to keep the mini in HoM but sell it as undedicate
/not signed
If you mean the seller loses it completely and its a brand new mini again

Ok, I won't stoop to flaming but I have to agree that it's a bad idea.
There are trade offs to everything in this game. If you want the extra damage a customized weapon offers then you need to sacrifice the resale value to customize. If you want to dedicate a minipet then that mini is yours and can no longer belong to anyone else's HoM. That's the tradeoff. If it's too high a price then don't customize/dedicate and instead sell the item.

well we all make mistakes wen we first start out playing GW so i think that there should be a timer and if the wepon has been costomized at least 6 months ago than it should be able to be uncostomized but for a realy unresonable fee like 10-15k depending on if its white blue purple or gold

A big /notsigned on this one. Absolutely no reason to do this, since that's the purpose of having them dedicated.
