Thats right, i was in LA and someone was wanting a PC on these. So i traded to look, and it was indeed a clay brick and a brick of mud!!! (see attached)
Now, he says he got these today, i'm pretty sure he wasn't lying.. but what does this mean? new armour/weapons? or just useless materials?
I got a feeling with the new End of prophecies, it could also be an accident that allowed these back in...

They were removed from crafters and material traders before. I guess some people still have them.

i don't. But i asked, DID THESE EVER DROP? i did not play in the beta, and only been playing for 2 years. The information online seems to point towards the fact that they never dropped. If this is so, then how has he got these?

If anet officially re-added them, first thing they would probably do is to add material storage for them.

If they'd been added wouldn't they be listed on one of the updates? I don't really pay much attention to anything there that isn't skill related, so I could be wrong.

There was no way to obtain these materials at release, so it's not somebody clearing storage and magically finding them. If they actually have been re-introduced without just being an accident, there will eventually be a use for them.

More so that the devs have been in Sardelac and decieded to add 'Mud Baths' in, where the uber-leet-winzorz guys can pamper their characters.
Bricks of mud, most likely a relic of the old days, as previously mentioned. Something like this would have come up in the update notes.
I doubt they'd do a stealth update for mud.

Well, if its anything like the rubies...I got one of those when all we had was prophesies. It dropped with in the first 6 months after release. Held on to it too......

I recall seeing the the bricks in the past....either just before or just after factions. Never did find a use for them.
But then again...everyone remember gwens broken flute or the tapestry shred?

I've been playing since the beginning and an avid farmer also i have never had them drop nor heard of anyone ever getting them as drops. To my knowledge anet had an idea for them that never was implamented, so they took them out of the game. The fact that neither staoarge or rare mat guy has a slot for them combined with the fact the items in question look very much photoshopped leads me to believe this is a bunch of bs.
Yes there are still the guys ingame that will make them just no mudbrick that will drop to make them. If u look closly at the pics of the mud and clay brick all they did was copy/paste and enlarge the pics to what u see in the original picture, somebody's just looking for attention.
