I think the op is a pretty reasonable comparison actually.

I think quests in WoW are quite honestly a lot better though, or at least the better quests are, some of the chains are actually quite interesting. Both suffer from a lack of any real challenge.

Bosses in Guild Wars a generally pretty disappointing compared to those in WoW, the most interesting in Guild Wars being Mallyx, Urgoz and Kanaxaii imho, 2 of which are beatable by rather cheap tactics all of which are beatable by bears. Urgoz has the potential to be a decent boss if his stupid friends would heal him and I'm pretty sure there'd be a decent enough way to make kanaxaii a reasonable challenge. The instance bosses in WoW though, while I'd hesitate to say are difficult (unless playing with complete morons) are a lot more involved and interesting despite generally being glorified tank and spanks. Did Shadow Labs about 10 mins ago, Vorpil is definitely a much better fight than Shard Wolves in FoW.

Guild Wars I'd say is a better pvp game, or definitely has the potential to be a much better pvp game than WoW is. Alterac Valley to me anyway seemed nothing more than a complete clusterRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO, I will admit I've not really tried the arenas which I'm told are better

yes, that requirement IS very dumb. if i remember correctly, GW purposely removed blood and gore during its development so it could have a 14+ rating instead of 17+.

but hey, boobs sell. i most certainly can agree with that.

So does that mean GW is unsuccessful because it doesnt have as many players as WoW? Of course it doesnt.

I dont expect AoC to be as big as WoW, but you dont need 10 million subcriptions to make a game good. Saying otherwise is the same as saying that GW must be crap because compared to WoW, hardly anyone plays it.
wow

how the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO did you get that from what I said

I would say that you put words in my mouth but your last 2 paragraphs don't even relate to what I said at all. jesus.

I was stating that was the reason for the failure of Hellgate, and the check comment was to show that they started it at .90, still in beta form, not as you ASS-U-ME, to go give the game a second chance. The point of that was, unlike Hellgate, that both games were not letting deadlines hamper their development.

As to the rest, why do you feel you have to flame someone giving an opinion about the thread, and a valid one? It is valid, considering you can do a search and find plenty of threads on this topic. The OP could have posted this on any of those threads. To create a thread of his own is just asking for the same people to visit this thread as the others. Hence, the pulling out of the dead horse.

I have played WoW since 8 months, the last 6 heavily.
I came to the point that the game you're playing isn't central. What's central is the people you're playing with.
